About This Listing
A farm, a bed & breakfast, hotel, hostel, campsite, holiday home, a timeshare resort, a luxury spa, a home exchange, Olivale is all this without any of these things specifically: it is a way different type of holiday that is beneficial not only for you but also for the environment around you.
I live in Esperia, in the province of Frosinone, along with my family in a photos of the apartments of the palace. And since I consider myself very lucky to live there I decided to share her beauty with all new friends.
A country that seems to have been forgotten by time and where you can really choose the pace of life that you prefer.
The precise location is halfway between Rome and Naples (100 Km) and between Cassino (story) and Formia (sea) (25 Km).
The town is perched on the slopes of Mount Cecubo, which in turn is surmounted by the remains of a splendid medieval castle, named Roccaguglielma, built by William of Blosseville around the year 1000, under renovation, and the shrine of Our Lady of Grace , mounted just above a cliff, offering stunning views of the town below and the Liri Valley. The landscape is harsh to the top of the country and softer at the bottom.
And 'surrounded by a ring of mountains and the only opening is in the Liri Valley, dominated and is visible to the naked eye, the Abbey of Montecassino. The village has all essential services (some film and theater are missing). The settlement would represent the land of plenty for photographers and painters (if only they knew) to the staggering number of narrow streets that at times, turned a corner, seem in another world. There you hear the the sound of children playing, ancient splendor of a palace here where you can still "see" the Baron, who receives the taxes from his peasants, turns the corner and you are invested the smell of a kitchen in full swing, a mother that calls out to the children who play in the streets because dinner is ready ... And thousands and thousands of other feelings that are difficult to describe in words. In addition Esperia is placed in the Regional Natural Park of Monti Aurunci, with all that comes with it. There is a small farm horse that can offer horseback riding, if you like the mountain bike paths will not be lacking to deal with, if you enjoy hiking the mountains seem made on purpose. But, I repeat, the words will never be enough to show all the beauty of my town. So far, the descriptive part. As for the real living is a unique opportunity: a completely independent apartment with two rooms for eight beds, living room, kitchen and bathroom at your disposal for just € _10, 00 per person per day as a contribution to the maintenance and accommodation expenses.

mutual respect and good manners.
I can't really put into words how amazing Andrea is. He has such a deep love for Esperia and meeting new people that just being around him is special. The experience I had in Esperia was a true Italian experience. It's off the beaten path but Andrea showed me around the entire town including the ruins of a medieval castle, dinosaur tracks, and the beauty of the valleys that surround the town. The apartment is very clean and has everything you will need. I think I've met a lifelong friend in Andrea and I highly recommend visiting Esperia for a change of pace in Italy.
We stayed three days in the very spacious second floor apartment with full kitchen. The house is just middle of the beautiful Estoria town, next to some shops to buy food.
Our host Andrea was very nice, spoke excellent English and took us a hours long sightseeing tour in town and it's nearby areas. We saw the old castle ruins, narrow streets of old town, three ancient wells, dinosaur footprints, Andrea's olive trees etc. and heard many stories from the town which he loves. We really enjoyed our stay and felt welcomed by Andrea and his family.
Andrea is excellent host!
Valida soluzione che potrebbe ripresentarsi all'occorrenza..
Great host and good accommodation.
Andrea was enormously generous with his time and his stories. If you're not afraid of going off the beaten path, it's well worth giving Esperia a try.
Wow! What can I say!
We had a fabulous time here. Andrea has been the best host. We had the whole apartment which is very spacious, he respected our privacy when we wished, but he took us out many times to local sights. We were only there a short time originally but decided to extend our trip. We saw Grotte de Pastena, Montecassino (which is amazing) two beaches and had a guided tour by Andrea of the village (which Andrea is very knowledgeable and proud of).
The village has everything you need, post office, mini marts, toiletries, bank, pizzeria, two cafe bars. If you do not have a car, there is a bus from Cassino (near the train station), Though not throughout the day you can easily ask a driver of any bus and they will help you make a connection through another town. We got two buses - no problems. If you have any issues at all, ask Andrea he speaks good English. Andrea has 2x bicycles there which he offered us to use, should you wish to explore yourself. Andrea kindly let us use his Internet when we needed to and his wife was wonderful and even did our laundry.
If you are thinking of staying here, don't think - just do it. We had a great time and are sure you will too.
Wow, Dan... thank you for your words :-)) they are fantastic. I am very happy you considered your time in Esperia a great time. It is exactly what i effort to make feel to the guests. This is the best reward that any host must be hoped... It take so little to make feel people good, and returns so much gain: FRIENDS. (and sorry if it is little). Well Dan a wish the best life for you and hope to see you again.
A hug from my whole family to you and Amy . Ciao. Andrea . :-))
