Interaction with Guests
I will be there to welcome you in and answer any questions you might have, then I will be just a phone call away! Guests will check themselves out and leave keys on the table.
Chippendale is the smallest suburb in Sydney, it is quickly becoming one of the coolest, most underground, creative and funky suburbs in Sydney with all it's cafes, art galleries, restaurants, bars, parks and it's big sustainable community, which keeps verge gardens full of fruit, vegetables and herbs for all to share!
My favourite way to get around is by bike, or simply by foot (note it is a 20-40 minute walk into the city depending on where you are going).
We have 2 train stations walking distance from the apartment, Central Station (+or- 12 min walk) or Redfern Station (+or- 8 min walk), we also have buses all around us.
Other Things to Note
To get to our apartment from the Airport the 2 easiest options are:
Train - AU$17 per person. It comes every 5 to 10 minutes and it takes about 10-15 minutes into Redfern or Central, then you have to walk for about 10 minutes to the apartment.
Taxi - the easiest option and most cost effective if there is more than 1 of you. It cost between $25-$40 and it takes about 20 minutes (allow a little more time to get into and from the International Airport).
Having fun is mandatory in our place, but our home is also a sacred place to us, where you get to relax and just be, hope it will the same to you on your stay, but please keep these in mind:
- strictly no smoking, it's not good for you!
- no pets,
- keep it clean and tidy and give it back how you found it otherwise a $100
cleaning fee will apply;
- no more than 4 people staying in the apartment;
- no parties;
- noise restrictions apply in Sydney. The time for these restrictions in residential premises where it can be heard in the living area of a neighbouring property is:
10pm to 8am – Sunday to Thursday.
12 midnight to 8am – Friday, Saturday and any day immediately before a public holiday.
My 2 weeks stay was enjoyable! The apartment looks exactly as per the pictures and the descriptions of the neighbourhood was true. The apartment was very well cleaned and prepared for our stay - i.e. kitchen well equipped, toiletries prepared, laundry room well stocked and other small touches like tissue boxes etc.
We had 2 kids and they enjoyed the place with ample space to run around. Thais provided free wifi and smart tv with numerous programs to choose from.
The location is also very convenient with buses and train stations close by. All in all, a very good place to stay in!
Thais was a great host. She made us feel at home, she prepared food in the kitchen, toiletries, etc. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is close to central park and pretty much all you need is there. I would definitely recommend this property and thank you to thais for being such a great host! It's really thanks to her that we enjoyed our holiday in sydney.
Staying at Thais's place was a wonderful experience. The apartment is in the perfect location to explore the various parts of Sydney (which is exactly what I did). The apartment itself is beautiful, well appointed, and very comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom is a dream! Thais was on top of all of my requests/needs, and the check in/check out process was smooth. The neighborhood (Chippendale) is low key and laid back... a great place to have a relaxing time in the heart of Sydney. Highly recommended!
Thais was a wonderful host! She was able to offer an early check-in so we didn't have to spend our first day in Sydney carrying our luggage everywhere we went. Although we didn't need it, she also offered a late check out the last day. She was very flexible and accommodating. The morning we arrived we found a loaf of fresh bread waiting for us from one of the local bakeries, and it was fantastic! Thais has a binder full of helpful info in the apartment, and we were very happy with one of her restaurant suggestions - Millennium Pizzeria which is just a block away. She went out of her way to make sure there were US adapters in the apartment for our small electronics and also offers a cleaning option (for a fee) that allowed us to enjoy our last day without worrying about cleaning. The apartment location was also great. We were able to walk to Central station to catch the train or bus (about a 10-15 minute walk), and it was close enough to the city that Uber rides were as cheap as $8 at times! Thais was a great host; I highly recommend staying at one of her listings if you visit Sydney!
Thais' apartment was amazing and just what I needed for my 5 night short stay. It's kept immaculate and tricked out with every little comfort you can imagine. From movies to books, to a full equipped kitchen, to her little green book of information about all the good restaurants and bars in the area. I'm requesting my clients to book me in to Thais' apartment for my next stay in Sydney! Just hope it's available!
Stayed here for three weeks. This place is a testimonial to the value of Airbnb: great location (everything you could need is nearby--transportation, cafes, groceries, parks, etc.), comfortably and well-kitted-out apartment (kitchen, laundry, entertainment/living area and comfy bed), and a wonderful hostess (attentive, friendly, and organized). Definitely recommended!
The apartment was exactly as pictured and described. Beautiful, spacious and in a great location. We had a wonderful holiday here. Thais's book with a list of local cafes, bars and takeaways was so great we tried them all! She was really helpful and accommodating. The apartment had everything needed to feel like home. It was great to come home after a day out sightseeing and relax on the couch with takeaway and wine.
