We bought and renovated this place just 3 years ago, so we are looking for someone who will appreciate it and take care of it while we are away (and hopefully this someone also wouldn't mind watering our plants a bit and giving our fish some food every few days!)
We have a minimum of 14 nights, but if you wish to have a shorter stay just send me a message and I will see what I can do.
Whole apartment, 1 or 2 bedrooms, depending on what was booked.
I will be there to welcome you in and answer any questions guests might have, then I will be a phone call away! Guests will check themselves out and leaves keys on the table.
Chippendale is the smallest suburb in Sydney, it is quickly becoming one of the coolest, most underground, creative and funky suburbs in Sydney with all it's cafes, art galleries, restaurants, bars, parks and it's big sustainable community, which keeps verge gardens full of fruit, vegetables and herbs for all to share!
My favourite way to get around is by bike, or simply by foot (note it is a 20-40 minute walk into the city depending on where you are going), you can rent one from our local bike shop: (website hidden)
We have 2 train stations walking distance from the apartment, Central Station (+or- 12 min walk) or Redfern Station (+or- 8 min walk), we also have buses all around us, go to (website hidden) to plan your trip!
To get to our apartment from the Airport the 2 easiest options are:
Train - AU$16.40 per person. It comes every 5 to 10 minutes and it takes about 10-15 minutes into Redfern or Central, then you have to walk for about 10 minutes to the apartment.
Taxi - the easiest option and most cost effective it there is more than 1 of you. It cost between $25-$40 and it takes about 20 minutes (allow a little more time to get into and from the International Airport).
I rented this apartment from Thais to host my parents and my parents-in-law during a two week stay. They were really happy with the place and enjoyed the apartment fully! It was perfect for sleeping four people having two beautiful bedrooms, a large TV-lounge plus a well-sized dining table. To sum it up, Thais was the perfect host and the apartment had everything you could ask for.
We are a family of 4 persons and we stay in the apartment for 7 days.
My husband, my daughters and I loved the place.
It is really fantastic.
We had everything that we need to sleep, bath , rest and cook.
The place is very clean, spacious and comfortable.
And Thais is a great person at all. Very kind and smart.
We had a very enjoyable stay in this apartment while visiting Sydney. The apartment's got a great location on Cleveland Street and is very close to Surry Hills & Redfern, and it's really easy to find a cab outside. Also, the apartment has a secure parking space, which was really helpful for our rented car.
The apartment is lovely, and easily accommodated two couples in the two rooms. The wifi, TV, etc all worked great and the balcony outside was in constant use for morning coffees, etc.
Thais was a great host and made us feel welcome with a selection of groceries for our use on arrival.
We had a great stay and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Sydney.
It is a great place for anyone who would like to have a good time in Sydney.everything was well thought. Highly Recommended!!!
Thanks for being welcoming Host.
A wonderful apartment. Thais was extremely easy to deal with and made me feel very welcome. I couldn't have asked for more. Location wise it was slightly further out of town than I had anticipated but this didn't cause any major problems.
Great apartment, very well equipped with everything you need for for a home away from home. Very close to the city and central train station. Thais is a great host and would definitely recommend her place to anyone for a stay in Sydney. Only downside is can be quite noisy at night sometimes due to being on a pretty busy road but wouldn't stop me staying with Thais again...
Thais was a great host and the apartment was fantastic. It really helped us settle into Sydney life. A** awesome!
Thais was a great host and the apartment was excellent. Very close to Sydney Uni, Newtown, Glebe and Surry Hills, and despite it being on Cleveland Street, I did not find it noisy (except one morning when the garbage trucks were making a commotion.) Thais made my stay very enjoyable, leaving me various food items and the like to enjoy. Towards the end of my stay I realised I needed to extend my stay for a few extra days, and Thais was very flexible about that. The apartment is in very good condition, clean and everything worked well. I am really looking forward to staying here again next year. I would recommend this place without hesitation, especially if you're looking for a city pad close to lots of action and yet a peaceful oasis to return to each day.
This apartment has everything you need; kitchen with all utensils that you could want, comfy living area, tv, wi-fi, clean bathroom, balcony etc. Thais has lots of interesting books and leaves you a folder explaining where the nearest supermarket, takeaways and shops are, which was much appreciated. The apartment is also packed with plants (I think I counted 15) and a veggie patch on the balcony. I needed to go UTS everyday - only a 15 min which is very convenient, and a great location to get to other funky suburbs like Newtown or Surry Hills. The only downside to the apartment is that if you're someone that likes some fresh air (like me), the apartment is very noisy with a window or door open.
We came to Sydney to celebrate Xmas and NY with our son and daughter who work and live there. Thais' Apartment was in an ideal location close to the City and all amenities. Modern furnishings and spacious rooms made for an enjoyable relaxing place to chill out and relax after a busy day. We had a great time and would recommend the apartment to anyone who needs to be close to the city and at the same time still wants to stay in an urban environment. The apartment has a large living and dining area, a modern kitchen with all appliances, a double bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower. There is a roomy balcony to sit and relax.
