We are all English speaking, except grand mom, but her pantomime is unbeatable :)
Slavica gave me precise directions on how to get to the apartment. I did not get to meet her in person, a gentleman name Nick showed me my room. But we kept in contact via messaging and she has been nothing but helpful the entire time. The room was very clean. Everything was available. My stay was very pleasurable. I definitely recommend this to anyone!!
The location of the apartment was great, in Lapad, a few hundred steps from a main street with lots of restaurants and the beach. It was easy to take a bus to the Old Town and there is a grocery store nearby. The room was small and stuffy as there was no AC or fan, and we didn't want to risk leaving the windows (which did not have screens) open in fear of letting in mosquitoes. Sound travels between the rooms, but other than that, everything was good and simple - great price!
Never met Slavica, although we were greeted warmly by her grandma with treats. room was fine, kitchen was nice and but huge terrace is the highlight! amazing view over Lapad bay and the city (not old town) on Dubrovnik.
bus is very easy into old town. be warned the steps can be hard work with luggage but if you want such a view, you need to be that high :)
Great place! Loved the balcony with grapes growing over head. The room was very clean and neat. Lapad was a great location because the beach was right by and the bus to Old Town was very quick. Slavica was extremely helpful and told us how to get to the bus, which bus to take and where to go for good food.
We had a great stay at Stavica's place and it is was easy to find and to get to with public transportation. Getting from the bus station to the apartment is fast and getting to the old town was just as easy by bus or by walking. There is no air conditioning in the room itself, but it was not a problem. The rest of the apartment is air conditioned and everything is very clean. Internet works great!
Slavica's apt was nice and clean, although a bit humid. (But that seemed to be the case every place we stayed in Croatia). Since we arrived ahead of schedule, we didn't get to meet Slavica, but a sweet old lady who seemed to be her mother showed us to our room. The apt has an amazing view and very sweet terrace, but you have trudge up A LOT of stairs to get to it, so just take note esp if you have a lot of luggage. Also, the apt is located in Lapad which is a residential and less touristy part of the city, but you'll need to walk down the hill to the bus station to get to Old Town. Overall, a nice place to stay if you don't mind a bit of exercise.
We loved our stay in Dubrovnik! The apartment was impeccably clean and it was very nice to have a big kitchen to prepare food. The host was there on time to let us in and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay! The location was very nice because it was quiet yet close to the bus stop so we could easily get into downtown Dubrovnik whenever we wanted.

I'm 24 year old, born and live in Dubrovnik. Like to travel and explore other countries, as same as I like host and meet new people.
My grandmother and grandfather started hosting back in 1969, father continued and now I'm the one that will keep up with tradition with my granny's help :)
Hope to see you soon ;)
