This is a large room with private bath located on the second floor. The private entrance allows you to come and go as you please, and the balcony offers a nice view of Madonna Mountain.
Located in a quiet, residential neighborhood just a few blocks from downtown San Luis Obispo, our Carriage House room is a large upstairs guest room with a queen bed, private bathroom, and a private entrance.
French doors lead to a balcony where you can have your morning coffee and tea. For breakfast, homemade sourdough pancakes and organic coffee will be available.
We have bicycles for rent ($10 per day). You can bike to the beach in an hour or less, spend the day exploring or lounging in the sun, and come back to San Luis Obispo on the bus (our buses are equipped with bike racks!). We have a lot of hiking trails within walking and biking distance as well!
There are parking spaces in the rear of the property that are first-come first-serve. You will find a spiral staircase in this back lot that goes up to the room. Please be aware that this staircase is a bit steep and can be awkward if you are carrying luggage.
There is another staircase located in the hostel portion of our property, and this can be used between the hours of 8am-11am and 4:30pm-10pm.
Please do not use the staircase that is found within the room, this leads to our tenant's space below. There is a door at the bottom of the staircase that stays locked; this is the barrier between the two spaces.
Amazing location a few blocks from Downtown SLO! My bf and I are CP Alumni and were in town to visit, bike and hike. The location was perfect for all of that. The private entrance was not a problem, and the room was HUGE. Clean but older, but we were only in the room to sleep really. Wifi isn't the best but if you're in SLO you shouldn't be inside on your devices anyways. 10-15 min to beaches. Parking was easy in the lot, but if we needed to street park it would have been easy as well. Amazing stay! Would recommend
Great accommodations for the price! Jarred was super flexible when my plans changed and very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again on another trip to SLO.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious attic penthouse and remodeled bathroom. The location is ideal if you want to enjoy the downtown area without the traffic and noise that comes with it. Easy walk to either end of downtown. We had a terrific dinner at Novo on the patio and breakfast at Big Sky cafe. Even on top of the hostel, it was fairly quiet but light sleepers may want to close the window. We had an easy booking experience - all the instructions were very clear and easy to follow.
Jarred set us up with an early check in and left the key under the mat as planned. It is a part of the hostel in SLO so there were a few travelers on the premises but we rarely saw them. The room was comfortable and exactly what we were needing for a one night get away while in town for a wedding. No stress and we were in an out with ease. Thank you Jarred maybe next time we'll get to meet. But ultimately is was a great room in a great location and stayed true to the feel of Air Bnb
The room was as listed, clean and in a lovely neighborhood, walking distance to downtown. The hostel below was a relaxing and inviting atmosphere when we were in and out and when we went down for pancakes one morning. The room was a pretty warm when we arrived (being on the second floor and no A/C - it was warm that day), but this is nothing to blame the host for. By opening the windows and using the fans provided it cooled down quickly. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to SLO! The only thing I wished for is that we had more time in SLO!
Jarred answered all our emails promptly so that our arrival was very smooth. The location was great (see below). The listing description was very accurate.
This is a wonderful one bedroom apartment that has been updated with modern amenities. The location can't be beat and is about a four minute walk to downtown SLO. The place is quite spacious for an attic apartment, and gets great light. I wish I could live there full time. I would highly recommend both the apartment and the location to anyone who is interested in being downtown. Great value for the price and Jarred is easy to work with!
Other notes: Small fridge included as well as towels. Lovely decor. Apartment is attached to the youth hostel with it's own private entrance on the second floor in back.
