That's great villa we have been in Italy, we take taxi from airport to there,it cost 55 EU, the host it was very nice to help was bugging the price, there has a old rock road which we stay. We was enjoying to stay in the house with big garden, and It's convenient to go to the center,by the way, we love the restaurant which is the square of little lovely town.
We had a really good stay at this house, it' s a really nice and comfortable place.
Nice place where you can relax and just be your self. And very nice when you have been going to center of Rome all day ....
Really nice and sweet host when we arrived the first day. The garden is so beautyfull, and you can take a nice walk down the oldest road in Europe ...
Remember when you have to take the bus ( number 660) , you have to buy your tickets down at the church (go left) 800 meters from the house.the bus goes to travertino metro station. you can also take the bus number 118 down from the church, to carracallas ruins . And remember u can't use the bus tickets and go on the metro, but u can use your metro tickets on the bus for 100 minutes
you have to visit rome , it is so magnificent! !!!!
This place is absolutely perfect and our experience was just as described in the description. It is a beautiful place- the villa and the surrounding yard. The hosts are as helpful as they are nice. Federico's mom, Marianne, actually lives in an adjacent, smaller place and will help you with your every need as she is fluent in many languages including English. Bus stop is a few minutes away and can take you to the Metro in 10 minutes. It runs ~ every half hour, which requires some scheduling. It takes roughly a half hour to reach the city center. Many activities in the area including walking or biking the Appia Antica or relaxing at the villa. A few restaurants and a decent café are within walking distance. The Archeo Bus stops at the café and is worth the price. There is also a neat watering hole just 10 minutes walking called the Egera where you can buy all kinds of water, snacks and more importantly, wine for less than 2 euro per liter- really! Internet service is good, but there is no TV if that is important to you. Kitchen is useful with dish washer, gas oven and stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, etc. There is also a nice museum just next door with free admission. If you like a country setting, you will enjoy this place. It really is quite nice after a chaotic day in the city. We certainly recommend this place and would most certainly visit again.
Wow what a beautiful time we had at the Oasis! First of all the home was beautiful with Italian charm and had everything we needed. Then the location of this being in Appia Antica was another surprise. The beauty of all this makes it one the nicest places you can stay in Rome. We thank Federico, Marianne, and Valianni for their kindness in making us feel so welcome. Marianne we so enjoyed the apricot jam you made...thank you!!
Wonderful stay! The villa is as gorgeous as the pictures, in a lovely area in Southern Rome. It was actually a welcome relief to stay outside of the centre. There is a shuttle to the nearest metro station every 30 mins and from there it's only a fairly short distance on the subway to the main places of interest in Rome. There are also some great historical sites along Via Appia Antica and some good restaurants, which are easy walking distance. We also enjoyed lovely breakfasts and dinners in the beautiful garden (the supermarket is very good and a few mins away on the shuttle). Federico and his parents were very warm hosts, and very helpful, even dropping us off at the metro on our last day. Would thoroughly recommend this as a lovely and peaceful base to explore Rome from
Our stay at the Oasis of Harmony gave us a spacious beautiful garden to enjoy and instant access to the Appian Way. Our hosts were gracious and the premises immaculate. The kitchen is well equipped. The garden is quiet except for singing birds.
If you are interested in the Via Appia Antica this is the place to stay. It is within walking distance of Il Capo de Bove, the tomb of Cecelia Matella, the Catacombs of Callixtus and numerous other ancient sites.
Good restaurants are close by and there is easy access to transportation to the center of Rome. I can recommend the Oasis of Harmony for wonderful hosts, quiet surroundings and excellent location. I am sure we will stay there again.

About the Host, Federico
I've traveled a lot and seen many different places. Rome is the city I love the most. Why? I love culture and authentic places. I don't like traffic and noisy, crowded places and therefore I consider my homes as oases surrounded by culture, nature and harmony.
I am a tech entrepreneur living between London and Rome. I am Co-Founder of 2 tech startups and I am director of a startup incubator in Rome. I like research and for this reason I am also doing a PhD with a focus on crowd-sourcing.
In my free time I love traveling, surfing and painting.
