Vibrant neighborhood

This area is walkable with lots to explore, especially for dining out.
This little chalet is dreamy in a big, lovely way ... and it's PERFECTLY located in Old Town! Reindeer Chalet is on Park Avenue, just above Main Street (The Egyptian Theater is a 90-second walk away). Old West meets modern styling in this VERY light, bright and cheerful stand-alone home with its own designated/permitted parking. You'll find every comfort and convenience at Reindeer Chalet; it's the ideal place to gather with friends and family to celebrate all that Park City has to offer.

The space
Reindeer Chalet is a 900 sq.ft. fully renovated, upscale gem of a home that retains much of its original 1950's charm and character. It's a private, stand-alone Park Avenue residence (not a condo, apartment, or townhome). Reindeer Chalet has a sparkling, playful vibe -- making it a great choice for a gathering of friends, a family get-together, or a romantic getaway.

We are certain this charming chalet will bring a BIG smile to your face from the moment you open the door! Of special note to our returning guests in 2022 and beyond: BIG UPDATE ... we added a second bathroom and expanded the master bedroom over the summer of 2021, so the Chalet is now even *more* amazing than before. :-)

At Reindeer Chalet, you'll enjoy a cozy fireplace, fantastic views of Old Town, and a kitchen stocked with all the tools you need to prepare food if you'd like to dine in. Pretty sure you'll rest well in the super comfy beds with high-end linens and Pendleton blankets. Bonus: no need to bring a big suitcase -- you'll find a full-sized washer and dryer ready for use, so pack lightly if you wish.

The chalet has two bathrooms (each with a walk-in shower) -- the perfect place to warm up and relax after a chilly day on the slopes.

Reindeer Chalet is a small but lovely home. We feel it best accommodates 4 to 5 people, but it can welcome up to 6 guests if you enjoy being cozy. Sleeping arrangements are as follows:
Two people in Bedroom #1 (King bed)
Two people in Bedroom #2 (Queen bed)
Two people in pull-out sofa bed located in living room (the pull-out is Full size and VERY high quality with excellent, comfortable mattress)

Best of all, Reindeer Chalet is located in the very heart of Old Town. For that reason, virtually everything Old Town offers is only minutes away (or less!) by foot. For example: from the front door of the Chalet, you can walk to the Egyptian Theatre on Main Street in under 90 seconds. Similarly, once on Main Street, you can access Park City's amazing and FREE public transit system, which means you really don't need a car at all to shop, dine, ski, snowboard, or enjoy the galleries and sights of this beautiful mountain town.

Reindeer Chalet has two designated/permitted parking spaces, located directly in front of the house.

Guest access
Guest have complete/total access to this little and lovely stand alone home on Park Avenue with designated/permitted parking located immediately in front of the home.

Other things to note
1. STAIRS, ICE AND SNOW ... OH MY!
There are approximately 12 stairs that lead from the curb of Park Avenue to the front door of the home. The stairs have rails. PLEASE NOTE: mountain weather systems move quickly, they can result in substantial snowfall in short periods of time, and available personnel to shovel and/or clear walkways is limited. We do our best to keep home walkways and stairs clear, but we can NOT guarantee the removal of snow and/or ice.

2. PARKING ACCESS
There are two designated/permitted parking spaces for this house on Park Avenue, located immediately in front of the home. The spaces are marked clearly with signs, and violators will be towed (you will find your parking permit inside the home when you arrive). Although I don't anticipate problems with parking, it is of course impossible to control the occasional rogue parker, especially during festivals or events (we will call towing if you find that's the case). Also, because Park City is a mountain town, storms happen -- and parking spaces may become filled with snow. We can NOT guarantee timely snow removal (residents and guests are sometimes at the mercy of the City snowplow schedule).

My work: Speechwriter
Lives in Scottsdale, Arizona
Originally from Colorado, I am an avid fan of all things artsy and outdoors. I love to hike, ride, read, attend live theater performances, create mosaic sculptures and build wood-burning pizza ovens from scratch. I am a professional speechwriter by trade. I'm crazy about all animals (we have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 4 horses, 2 adopted donkeys, and 20 chickens on our small farm in Scottsdale). I won a pony in a raffle when I was 7 years old (just like Willy Wonka, only WAY better). Since then, I’ve spent much of my life on the backs of extraordinary horses, and I’ve been a nationally ranked rider in cutting horse competitions. I enjoy salvaging materials and re-purposing them as art ... it’s a kick to capture bits of history and bring them to life in a new light. I'm wicked awesome with an Etch-A-Sketch. I'm a fan of Shakespeare, Wallace Stegner, Willa Cather, Harper Lee, Nathaniel Rateliff, The Killers, Orville Peck, Dolly Parton, Local Hero, Tina Fey, Leslie Knope, and Elf ... and I can't imagine life without a bowl of super spicy green chile now and then. Some of my favorite places on earth are Paris, London, New York, Park City (Utah), Grand Lake (Colorado) and Ashland (Oregon) -- Ashland is basically nirvana for me. Other favorite places are barns, libraries, theaters, coffee shops, antique stores, forests, farmer's markets, hiking trails and the big brown chair in my own living room (with at least one dog in my lap). Above all, I'm the biggest fan of my family -- my husband and my son -- both of whom are just remarkably smart, funny and kind humans. In this world, they are my huckleberries.
