The Ardella Cottage is an oasis near Zion National Park. The Cottage is an experience, not just a house. The entire home has been completely renovated with a nod to its heritage and sentimental touches and surprises to discover throughout. It has all of the charm you'd want from an historic cottage, with every modern convenience! With nearly 3000 sq ft and an acre of property there is plenty of space to get away from it all. Fully furnished with lots of extras. You are going to love being here!

The space
The Ardella Cottage was the family home of Ardella Heiner from the 1940s until her death in 2017. Her great-niece, Jean, purchased the home and acre property and beautifully restored and updated it. The yard and gardens are meticulously kept, in honor of the way Ardella cared for them even in her final years.

The cottage is designed to be very family friendly. There are surprises for children (and adults) to discover through out the house and gardens. There is a large outdoor firepit and cooking area, a trampoline, and don't forget to look for our Secret Garden(s). We have outdoor games like corn hole and giant jenga for guests to use and enjoy. There are several living areas indoors and out to retreat and read a book or gather with a group of people.

Each room has it's own television and climate control system. Kitchen is fully stocked with beautiful dishes, pots, pans, and tools.

The cottage has a cozy feel but is very spacious making it great for intimate escapes and family gatherings. Ideal spot for retreats, family vacations, romantic escapes, bridal party lodging, etc.

I grew up in the small Southern Utah town of LaVerkin and loved my childhood in beautiful Southern Utah. I'm the great-niece of Ardella Heiner, one of the daughters of Henry and Susanna Gubler, who were the original settlers of LaVerkin, Utah. Ardella built and lived in The Ardella Cottage from the time of its creation in the 1940s until her death a couple of years ago. I grew up in LaVerkin and have the fondest memories of this town and especially spending time at the cottage as a child. Because of my love of Southern Utah, my sweetheart and I were excited when we got the opportunity to own, remodel, and share this special place with you. Turning this into a vacation retreat has been a labor of love and we are so excited for you to feel all the love that has gone into it. We love Southern Utah! I worked at Zion National Park through my teen years. My parents got engaged there. Zion and the surrounding areas are very special to my family and we are excited for you to experience it for yourselves. We love movies, yummy grub, good people, good conversation, hiking, horses. We love family and consider our guests to be an extension of our family!
