  • This was my first HR rental and I was disappointed. The kitchen was poorly stocked . No toaster, no coffee maker, the only dinner plates were a sad collection of plasticware. Cutlery was minimal. Main light in the bedroom only half worked and the Wifi was non existent. The apartment was clean but the the walls had scuff marks and the place needed a coat of paint. Would not recommend to anyone.

  • WARNING!!! DO NOT BOOK THIS APARTMENT unless you are prepared to be accommodated in a completely different apartment to the one in the photographs. We were looking for an apartment with outdoor space and two separate sleeping areas. We chose this apartment based on the photos, the description and the reviews but the apartment we were given was totally different. Although it was in the same location it had no outdoor space and the second bed was in the kitchen!! The apartment we were given is listed as one of the host’s other properties. It’s called Apartment Petrova and the photos are very flattering! It's very basic and a bit shabby. The living room was very dark in the evening as 3 out of 4 of the bulbs in the light fitting were not working. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable and we were unable to find any evidence of or password for the advertised wi-fi. There was no hook for the shower head so you have to hold the shower by hand. The location was good, in a quiet area about 15 minutes walk from the centre and near a tram line. The nearby church clock chiming every 15 minutes throughout the night was a bit annoying though.
We never met Tea, our host as we were shown into the apartment by her mother. However we did have communication with her by email as we complained to both her and Air Bnb about the fact we were given a different apartment. Although her mother had previously told us that the other apartment was occupied Tea claimed that it was unavailable because of sewage problems. I don’t believe this was true as I have since seen another reviewer who had the same experience as us so I think she is using the pictures of the nicer apartment to get bookings on the not so nice one as a matter of policy. I found her to be rude and completely unconcerned about guest satisfaction. She even suggested that I was a difficult guest looking for fault in everything!! I would not recommend this host or any of her apartments to a friend. I would however recommend that Tea attend a customer service course! However Air bnb dealt with the situation very well and arranged a 50% refund for us so in the end we were satisfied as we felt that half what we paid is what the apartment was worth.

  • I booked this apartment based on the photos, the fact that it was located on the ground floor and the bedroom and living area from separate (we were travelling with our 6 month old). What we got was an apartment that did not resemble the photos on the website, there was a separate kitchen but the living room was in the bedroom which made it awkward at night as our infant shares a room with us still. The apartment was clean but old, the bed rocked and you have to hold the hose of the shower. The location is very central.
Tea was very good to deal with and I suspect that she might own a couple of apartments in that building which might look like what was advertised on this website but we didn't get this. Previous feedback was all very positive which also influenced our decision to book, but in case other families with small children wish to book this, t I feel thathey should be aware of this.

  • Charming apartment! Clean, well-kept, great location for travelers interested in visiting old town Zagreb. Easy check-in. Parking in the courtyard was very convenient. A very comfortable stay for my group of four. We relied on walking/driving our car rental and didn't explore public transit options. Note the strict cancellation policy, but totally worth the commitment!

  • Location, location, location as they say! Only two tram stops from all the action. We loved Zagreb as the people are helpful and friendly, including Tea's mother who showed us our place. Cosy, cute and affordable with all the conveniences for a pleasant stay nearby. Hvala Tea! Hint: Her place is at the Western end of Petrova so Tram 5 or 7 is best from Central Bus station with a short walk from a parallel street, much cheaper than taxi!

  • We stayed at Magnolija Apartment with my wife and our two little daughters. This is a great place to stay while at Zagreb. Its close to the center. Bakeries, cafes, pharmacy, etc. right by the apartment.

The apartment where we stayed was very clean, tastefully designed, and furnished with everything we needed. Our kids where thrilled to have their 2nd floor little bedroom all to themselves.

We strongly recommend Magnolija Apartments. Great value for money!

  • Great apartment, stylish, fulfilled our expecations, no problems of any kind. Thank you!

  • The place is large enough for 3 or 4 people, easily. There is a large dining room, adequate kitchen space, and large bedroom in addition to the mini-bedroom in the loft.

The post-purchase communication by email was a bit confusing as it seemed (I think) two people were communicating with me, but not with each other. That was a very minor issue, though. The place was excellent. Right near a tram stop, on a direct line from the train station and only 2 stops from the main square.

I was born and have lived in Zagreb all my life. I have two children. I play tennis professionally and do gymnastics as a recreation. In my free time I like to travel and have been to many countries in Europe. I do not have one specific life motto but I do hope that all my past and future guests enjoy their time in Zagreb and are satisfied with the accomodation that I offer them :)
