I offer a nice 120m2 apartment in Reykjavik on 2nd floor. The apartment is situated a 20 minutes walk away from the centre. A 2 minutes walk away from the main swimmingpool, gym and spa. 5 min walk from city's zoo and lots of green areas all around. There is a "Straight from farmer" organic store with in 2 minutes walk and there is less than 5 minutes walk to a reataurant called Gló which serves organic food only. The owner of Gló just received the world's best RAW food chief award.
The appartment has 3 bedrooms, one WC with a bath/shower combo. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a gas-stove. There are a washing machine and a dryer in the basement and there we keep two bikes for adults and two for children from 5 to 8 years old. On the balcony we have a gasgrill. The bus stops 4 minutes away.
Guests are expected to treat our home with respct this is a family house were children live so no loud music after 10 pm and to leave our home the same way as it was when you came
Anna Lisa and Tomas prepared the apartment very thoughtfully for us, with clear shelves and plenty of space for us to unpack and make ourselves at home. They even asked if we would like some food in the kitchen, since we were arriving after an overnight flight with children who were tired, and probably wouldn't have time to stop at a store right away. It was so nice to arrive and find everything we needed to get the children breakfast and ready for a nap.
The apartment is in a family-friendly residential neighborhood, in walking distance to a large pool, zoo, gardens, shops, and bus. There is a wonderful fresh fish market nearby and we cooked fish for dinner twice. The kitchen has everything you could need, and Tomas even showed us how to use the BBQ grill (though we didn't use it).
The sweetest thing was the notes one of their children left for our children, telling where the ice cream shop and playground was, and recommendations for fun things to do nearby.
The only drawback would be that the apartment is so comfortable, and the neighborhood so filled with things to do, that you might not want to leave to go downtown! So I would recommend booking and extra day or two if you can.
