Congratulations! If you’re reading this, then fate has kindly delivered you the opportunity to live in one of the best places you will ever call home while you enjoy your stay in Vancouver.
You're looking at an 1250 square-foot, corner suite on the 16th floor just 2 blocks away from the Skytrain in central Vancouver. It has everything – a bedroom with lots of storage and a fairly new queen-sized bed, en-suite laundry, a solarium/breakfast nook, a living room with new couches, a dining room with flowers, a fully-equipped kitchen (and I mean full! I even have a deep fryer and a pizza stone!) with dishwasher, a pool/hot tub/sauna, parking (optional), a beautiful garden area with a fountain, an old school arcade machine, a gas fireplace, a large 50 inch HDTV, videogames, movies (Netflix inlcuded!) and a killer panoramic view of Vancouver, the mountains and False Creek (which is actually a sizable inlet...hence the name False Creek!).
In summary, the space is amazing and you will truly be in awe of the view.
Your bedroom is private and comes fully furnished with as keyed entry. There is lots of storage, large mirrored doors to your closet, a super comfortable queen-sized bed, a desk and a gorgeous view outside your window. Your bathroom also comes fully equipped with fresh towels, toiletries and a hilarious book about poop.
Please note, I own a very cool (and hairy) cat. If you’re allergic, this is not a place for you! However, if you love cats, you will want to kidnap him.
About a year ago, my girlfriend has moved in with me too! Her name is Steffi and, what can I say? She's the most amazing girl I've ever met. I know you'll love her (almost) as much as me. She's German and adorable and will clap like a giddy school girl if you give her cheese.
The location is wonderful. Practically every grocery/liquor store you could ever hope for is within a two block radius and its right beside the Sky Train and the B-Line bus on Broadway. Getting here from the airport is incredibly easy thanks to the subway but it’s also a great starting point for any adventure. Whether you are heading by transit, to downtown (10 minutes), Kits beach (20 minutes), Stanley Park (25 minutes) the airport (25 minutes), UBC (30 minutes) or the gorgeous North Shore mountains (1 hour) - nothing worth seeing in Vancouver is too far away by bus. In fact, its so convenient, I don’t even own a car!
I have lived here happily for the past 7+ years and I have lived in Vancouver for my entire life - not something most people here can say! I love my city and I'm more than happy to show you what makes Vancouver great. Whether you're into the music scene, restaurants, activities (hiking, snowboarding, rollerblading, etc), or even the hidden gems that most people don't know about - I can show you what's hip. I work a lot running my own business but I do sometimes work from home so I'm always in and out of the place. I enjoy cooking, drawing, watching hockey and like to relax with a drink or two in the evening. I am very social and I love to play host to guests, dinner parties, sporting events and the like. Of course, if you just want me to stay out of your hair, that's not a problem either. Whether you are here to let loose, work or relax, I like to think we are pretty adaptable people and can suit your needs as roommates quite well.
The price of entry is inclusive of a fully furnished bedroom/bathroom , heat/hot water, wireless internet, HDTV, Netflix, videogames and I’ll even provide all the toiletries and clean towels as well. Parking is extra at $120/month or $15/day. And if you're nice, I'll even cook you the occasional meal!
PLEASE NOTE - the prices to board fluctuates depending on the season. Regular prices are $1300/month but it can go as high as $1500 in our peak season. For the most accurate calculation on the total for the dates that you want, begin the booking process for the dates you want. Before you follow through with the payment, it will show you the total cost.
I highly recommend taking a look at the website called Walkscore and type in my address of 2668 Ash Street. It says good things about this neighbourhood...and it's all true! There is a reason why I've lived here so long.
No dogs or cats
Check-in anytime between 4pm-10pm. Any later will result in a $50 CAD fee unless otherwise stated.
Clean up after your mess! I'm excited to be your roommate, but I'm not as enthralled to be your mom. I will respect our shared space and do my part too.
If you are going to eat any of my food in the fridge, that's okay so long as I agree to it first or I am compensated for the lack of food later. Just don't take the last beer :P
If you lose the key fobs for the building and my suite, a $200 replacement fee will be issued. Furthermore, I have not issued a damage deposit but if you break or damage anything, you must arrange to have it fixed BEFORE your tenancy expires.
Do not feed my cat, Batman. If his diet becomes unbalanced, he might just start vomiting everywhere and nobody needs that. Also, please don't let him into your room as he likes to chew on plastic and he will find some to eat! Thus, keep your bathroom and bedroom doors closed at all times.
Please contact me regarding a check-in time and try not to be late - my business loses money if I'm sitting around here waiting for you and/or I have things to do - my time is valuable! Thank you for respecting that.
Check out time is noon but I am flexible so long as no new guests are arriving the day you are leaving.
From Dec 01, 2015 - Feb 28, 2016 the minimum stay is 4 nights.
