The house was absolutely perfect for our needs, we had the best time and couldnt have asked for anything more!! Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.
The East Hampton house was a fine stay for our group. It provided the space we needed, was fairly easily situated a close drive to things we wanted to do, and the pool was great.
With that said, the photos are a bit deceiving as to the condition of the house and general tidiness. Overall, the home is just pretty run down and not updated, of course if you don't mind an older house is won't bother you too much.
The grill was pretty destroyed and non-functional upon arrival, although the owner did call us upon check-in to let us know a new grill was being delivered, which was great when it arrived the second day. Kudos to them for being on top of it.
The refrigerator leaked from the bottom the entire time we were there, and the ice-maker wasn't very effective. We did fill the fridge to about 70%, but I wouldn't say overfill. Also, the filtered water from the fridge tasted rancid, which was odd, but I'm guessing the filter hasn't been changed in years.
The dishwasher was moderately effective, but pretty old and dishes required pretty heavy cleaning before being put into it.
There were ants everywhere in the house. The owner had it treated a month before arrival, and had the guy come back out at our request to lay traps, but it was still an issue.
There was clutter everywhere in the house, making it tough to find things, especially in the kitchen.
Internet worked fine unless we connected our laptops and phones, but all TVs are old standard definition.
Bedding was pretty poor. Worn sheets and blankets although smelled clean.
Finally, they're currently trying to sell the house and several real estate agents showed up out of the blue with clients to show while we were there. This was fairly annoying.
To recap - perfectly fine house for a group to have a good time, but definitely has it's problems. Seems like they're probably just trying to make some money before it sells and not do too much to improve it as an AirBNB property.
We had a great stay in the Hamptons at this perfect beach house. We loved that it was secluded in a woody area and spent most of the time around the large pool, grilling and laying out. The space was perfect for our large group and everything was as described. Perry was a wonderful house manager- easy communication, attentiveness and extremely helpful with our booking. I look forward to booking another house through Perry again in the future.
I would definitely recommend this place! Plenty of room, as advertised and we had everything we needed. Great neighborhood- probably 10 minutes to Main Street. The host was very communicative and I felt like I could call him with any questions at any time (I didn't need too though)- We had a great weekend and are planning to go back for holidays, we will be checking to see if this is available!
We had a great time from the beginning to the end. The house was clean and properly equipped.
The looked good but was extremely cold. We were within a 10 min ride to most things and quite central to montauk and shelter island which we did visit.
The owners were accommodating and answered our calls when we had questions. Overall a good experience.
We had a great trip in the Hamptons and everything was as promised and well taken care of. The location was a bit out of the way but other than that I'd highly recommend this rental.
The reservation was canceled 26 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
