This Victorian home is a contributing structure to a National Register Historic District located in the quaint Erie Canal village of Jordan, New York. The house is only 450 feet from the NYS Erie Canal Bike & Snowmobile trail.
The property has extensive gardens for the nature lover. A soothing saltwater pool set in a bohemian oasis is available to guests. Like to fish? Skaneateles Creek borders the back yard. Guests may also enjoy the relaxing fire pit nestled in an orchard.
The space
This property has a single Victorian style guest bedroom on the first floor, with an adjoining living room and dining room included for guests' use. The bedroom itself has a full-size bed, with an ensuite bathroom. The living room is comfortably decorated in an eclectic style, with a television and piano available for guests. The dining room has a large table, a mini-fridge, microwave/accesories, toaster, water cooler with filtered hot and cold water and a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of teas and coffees. There are paper products, plasticware, mugs, glasses corkscrew, cutting board etc. in the labeled cupboard. There is also a glass doored cabinet with cards and games. If you just want to relax there is a TV and adult coloring books in the living room. Upstairs and all doors marked as "No Guest Access" are private.
When Gayle has time she often leaves a cookie jar on the dining table with home baked treats or items from her gardens for you to enjoy or even a labeled "take home" basket.
*A couple photos feature the bike trail and also the white gazebo and public garden in what was once the bed of the historic Old Erie Canal. It's just a short 2 minute stroll , 450 feet past 2 houses heading towards the center of our tiny village. Be sure to check out the aqueduct, waterfall and kissing bridge.

During your stay
*We live in the house, so we are generally available in person, if there are any questions. *We can be contacted by text anytime.
* We let guests decide if they prefer quiet privacy, or socializing.
*We are occasionally able to greet our guests upon arrival when possible and will offer a tour of the property during gardening months. Please text if you would like to meet us.
*If guests wish to use the firepit, we will light and monitor the fire when you are finished.
*Guests have a private coded entry. There is a shared living room and dining area that is mostly used by guests only, but we do enter the area to use the stairs.
* You are welcome to enjoy the spacious front porch and patio.
*The pool area can be accessed through the garden. From the front porch, head down the side steps towards the stone patio. Enter the garden and turn left. The pool oasis is inside the white fenced area.

The first time we heard the alarm was months after buying our home. It really surprised us! We wanted to reassure our guests ahead of time, if they hear the public alarm, not to worry.
