A unique stay at the only one-room schoolhouse in Wheeler County, Oregon. Built in 1906 the schoolhouse has been restored and a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen have been added. Come enjoy a historical adventure as the schoolhouse features many old relics from the era in which it was built.

Please note the following:
<>The kitchen does not have a stove but there is a microwave.
<>There is a bathtub but no shower.
<>The hot water heater holds only ten gallons at a time.

The schoolhouse is PERFECT. You have privacy (you're own place), it is very clean but ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT-THE HISTORY AND BEAUTY THAT SURROUNDS. You look out and all you see is land-gorgeous, ever flowing land. Our time at the schoolhouse will be one that we will never forget…

Staying at the schoolhouse was an amazing experience! The location was so beautiful - spectacular sunset and stars. Dickse was a fabulous and accommodating host. I would definitely recommend this AirBnb to anyone who appreciates nature, history, and getting the chance to unplug.

Great place to stay if your visiting the John Day Fossil Beds, there is no wifi or cellphone service which makes it a great place to unplug. The school house is very well maintained and loved by the owners.
