If you are interested in having a fantastic meal prepared for you during your stay, we recommend our friend Chef Madeleine Dee. A review from a recent client: "My family and I were visiting Louisville from Philadelphia. We heard great things about Madeleine and thought it would be a fun experience to have her come to the home we were vacationing at and prepare us dinner. She came to the house and we went touring the town and at dinner time walked in to the most amazing scent. Every dish was outstanding... We asked for staples of Louisville and we got even more than we expected. Madeleine is the sweetest, nicest, most professional person with the hands of an artist." We can put you in contact with her or you can find her with a quick web search.

This was our second stay with Ilse. My aunt had died and we needed to come to Louisville to help settle her affairs. Ilse very kindly accommodated our need for a place to stay. At the end of the day it was such a relief to have a clean, comfortable space to retreat into. We very much appreciate her kindness and consideration.
The apartment has everything you might need to make the visit comfortable. Ilse is helpful and considerate and will do whatever she can to make your visit a positive one.
It is in a good location if you have a car. The only negative for us is that we are walkers and it is hard to walk anywhere from the apartment.
We had a great time at Ilses condo - very cosy, clean and big enough for our group from Switzerland. We would recommend this apartment at Zorn Avenue.
The condo was perfect for our needs, clean and tidy and the kitchen had a good range of utensils for eating in. Bring some coins if you want to run laundry in the common use facility at the end of the hall. When we arrived an access road was closed for water repairs, but we called the host who drive over in less than 10 minutes and navigated us to the front door. Overall the host was very helpful and friendly.
Ilse's condominium was as described, with many homey touches. Very clean, with ample creature comforts and detailed instructions!
The location, while close to downtown Louisville, is not in a 'walkable' district, but we were apprised of that ahead of time. I would recommend this spot to other travelers who don't mind a short drive to shops and sights. Thanks, Ilse!!
This condo worked out great for my wife, our 20-something son and me. Plenty of space--nice bedrooms and great to have two bathrooms. Nice kitchen and dining room/living room. Good location--very convenient to hop on I-71. Fair price. Would definitely stay here again.
Ilse's condo was incredibly charming. There was plenty of room for me, my two sisters, and my mom for our girls' weekend in Louisville (thank god for two bathrooms!) There are a number of cute shops and restaurants about a 5 minute drive away, and downtown is a quick 10 minute drive down the highway. Ilse was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. I would definitely recommend her condo to those looking to stay in Louisville.
The host was warm and friendly. She was most accommodating and ensured that we had everything we required.
