  • We had the most amazing, relaxing and interesting holiday in Sally's very stylish studio. it was fantastically equipped (down to cling film!) and Sally provided logs for the fire, charcoal for the bar-b-q (both used), and wine on arrival. The interior is beautifully designed and comfortable and the scenery around Sally's hamlet is perfect for sketching (for me) and walking (for us both). Thank you, Sally, for a lovely holiday and for introducing us to local artists and ideas of where to visit.

  • We had a great stay in Sally's artist's studio, and left the most relaxed we've been for some time! The studio is wonderful, spacious, large and tastefully decorated. The garden is super cute, and the area is quiet and very relaxing. Amazing stars at night!

Sally was a wonderful host, we didn't know the region well or have any plans and she had great tips for us (making for one of my favourite days on our very long trip). She also had a delicious bottle of rosé for us, and amazing figs from her tree!

We really loved our stay and hope to be back some day!

  • We stayed in the studio for 12 nights and had an amazing time. The studio is all that you would wish it to be, comfortable , relaxing, well equipped, and tastefully designed, decorated in a contemporary style. The light was beautiful especially in the mornings. We ate outside on the terrrace most nights incorporating the fresh organic vegetables bought at the local market in Uzes. The surrounding local countryside is very beautiful and we explored this on foot using the excellent map showing routes of the old paths and trails in the local area. We saw much of the local vegetation and wildlife not normally seen when using a car. Sally was an excellent host, warm and friendly, always ready with information when needed. Uzes, the local town, is very beautiful, with a real buzz and much to see. We also visited 2 excellent contemporary art exhibitions at Avignon and Arles. Bourdiguet itself is a beautiful quiet little hamlet. A really relaxing place.

  • Our stay with Sally was even better than expected. Sally is an incredible host. She is friendly, helpful and has a great sense for hospitality. She welcomed us with a drink and a tour thought the studio. The studio is clean, nicely decorated and quiet. It is situated in a nice little hamlet close to Uzes, which is a beautiful little town with a very nice market. We had a great time cycling, reading and exploring the area.

  • Sally's studio was sooo beautiful !! We realy liked the pictures but it was even better in real life. Sally is a fantastic decorator and thought about everything supplying her studio. It is done with great taste and a lost of love. I couldnt stop saying how much I liked it.
Sally is a very sweet, super friendly, helpful, modest and interesting woman.
We enjoyed sharing diner and a glas of wine with her.
She gave us great tips about what to do and see and the only reason I wanted to go home again was because I was so inspired to redecorate my own apartment after seeing her lovely studio, garden (with mini pool) and house.
We went canoeing and visted the upscale and super cute town of Uzes, we had a great time
I would definitely recommend her studio.
    Thank you Sally !!

Anbefales!

We stayed in Sally's studio for four days, and we found it very idyllic! The studio is very private, tastefully and pleasingly decorated, with a cozy patch of garden, in a tiny hamlet in the countryside. Sally is a very sociable and likable host, who takes good care of her guests. From our base in Bourdiguet, we went on day trips to Uzes, Pont du Gard, Avignon and Nimes, or just trekking on nearby footpaths, and we were always happy to come "home" to our little studio. We really recommend it!

  • Sally's studio, beautifully restored, offers a relaxed setting for breakfast, afternoon drinks or dinner, inside, or outside under the shade of the trees and vines.
Sally shared an afternoon drink with us and told us much about the Uzes area. The Tourist Information Office in Uzes is helpful (&has free wifi) but we thoroughly enjoyed talking with Sally.
Sally's studio is an easy drive from Uzes and offers possibilities for exploring the area.

I have three grown-up children and two grandchildren. I started my working life in BBC Radio, Schools and Drama departments, as a production secretary, before training in stage-management and becoming an assistant stage-manager with various theatre companies, including the National Theatre in London. Several years later, whilst still bringing up my family, I did a Fine Art degree in painting. I am still painting, and I am also teaching drawing part-time to a small private group, which I enjoy very much. My interests include visiting art galleries, going to the cinema, music (all sorts), design (furniture & architecture in particular), cycling around London and in France, tai chi and swimming, and I would like to do more travelling. I'm letting the studio attached to my small house in southern France, from mid-June to mid-September (minimum stay 2 days).
