Located in Manhattan in an area known as Washington Heights, it is north of Harlem and South of Inwood. Washington Heights is one of the hidden gems of Manhattan. There is a variety of cafes, restaurants and grocers located within walking distance. The neighborhood is safe, friendly, safe and lively. Columbian Presbyterian hospital is near by so there is a lot of doctors, researchers and young professionals in the neighborhood. Columbia University is 2 stops away on the express train. Mixed with the Dominican population (great ethnic food) in the neighborhood, it is a colorful, energetic place, viberant without it being overly commercial. The apartment is centrally located between 2 subway lines which makes getting nearly anywhere in Manhattan easy.
•5 minute walk A,C,1 Train line
• 2 stops on the A train to Columbia University
•3 stops on the A train to Columbus Circle (15 mins)
•Close to Fort Tyron park and The Cloisters (part of the Metropolitan Museum, a hidden gem many miss)
•20-30 min Train ride nearly everywhere else in Manhattan
•Easy to get to JFK / LGA airports
•Paid parking lot across the st / Easy street parking
I am an art dealer / brand consultant / photojournalist / writer. I am on the road frequently (mostly international travel) and when I am away, the entire apt is available. When I am here, the master bedroom is available. I love being on the road and it makes me happy to share my home with other travelers --- meeting people and hearing your stories is one of my favorite things. I look forward to hosting you.

Charlie was very sweet and we had a wonderful time in NYC.
Lovely appartment. You'll enjoy your holiday in Charlie's appartment. There is a subway just around the corner. Within half an hour you will be in downtown Manhattan. The appartment is nice, clean and cosy.
We had a great stay at Charlie's place!!
Had a very good time at Charlies' apt! Very straight forward from landing at the airport to finding her place in Upper Manhattan. Easy and quick traveling from the apt to downtown on the Express A train. The actual apt is comfortable, user friendly, clean and well maintained. Street noise was a problem for me the first night, not being used to city living, but not an issue for the rest of the week. My wife, who uses ear plugs, had no problem sleeping. Though our host was out of town during our stay, we had easy access and communication with her next door neighbor who was promptly there to hand us the keys even though we arrived close to 11pm in the evening. Expectations of us using this place for a week were reasonable and minimal, what we would have of others if they stayed at ours. Charlie was always very approachable to any and all questions and made our first experience with AirBnB a very positive one.
The best thing about Charlie's place is how clean it is. This was my first Air BNB experience I was a little nervous about the whole thing at first but Charlie was a great host answered a lot of my questions . I personally didn't meet her but her neighbor that welcomed me was Great! The location is about a 5 min walking distance to the subway lines. I would definitely stay here again
Absolutely perfect for us!
The place is really amazing. Everything is so beautiful arranged that you get a feeling of "being home"! Charlie is a great host (although we did not meet personally!). She was very quick in answering emails and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. The area is really good as there are supermarkets, bakery and the subway station. We felt safe!
Thank you Charlie for sharing your amazing place with us.
I think everything has already been said in all the comments above!
I spent 10 days in Charlie's apartment ... to redo my next trip to NYC...
The place was close to the subway which is great although it is a 25 min ride to midtown,
Charlie's assistant waited for us and gave us all the information we needed and was very nice.
Also, Charlie checked in with us to make sure everything is fine.
It was a great experience to stay at Charlie's place. Great neighborhood, two big supermarkets, McDonalds and Starbucks just one block away. This apartment is very close to subway and City Center is 15-20 min away. It is very clean and comfortable, we didn't have any problems during our stay and will choose this place again when we back in NYC.
Charlie's place is very cosy - located minutes away from the subway, it's super easy to get to. The apartment is clean and bright, lots of interesting books on the shelf and art on the walls. Charlie was super nice and I would definitely consider her place for future stays.
