Interaction with Guests
Everyday everyone having meals together in lunches and dinners. We chit chat, share stories and exchange cultures. We are very friendly and if you have any questions, I always sit in the office to help you.
Our alley is actually place to stay of teachers and professors of Vietnam University of Fine Arts since 1925, the oldest university in Indochina. My house face to the wall back of their office. So people around are well educated and polite. They prefer quiet and clean and say hi to them, you will see how friendly Vietnamese people are
Out of our alley 50m on the left is the bus stop which many buses goes everyday. On the right also 50m is main train station to everywhere. Main street in front of alley is actually the national road A1, means turn right go directly you come to Hochiminh mausoleum and turn left go straight you go to Hochiminh city
No rules :-) Just be nice, clean, polite and quiet. Don't come back to late at night, especially in drunken mood
Mike's Homestay was the perfect place for us to stay for our first week in Hanoi. The staff were very welcoming and it was nice to be able to meet the other guests. Plus, dinner is always delicious!
Love loved this homestay experience. Felt like I was back at home with my family. Dinner was delicious and the people I met I will remember for the rest of my (website hidden) Mike has THE cutest kid.
I stayed in Mike's place for 6 weeks and was very happy with it.
It's comfortable and there's a nice community of people who are staying there. Mike and the team were helpful.
The location is nice and central. It's also down an alleyway so the noise from the main road is mercifully baffled.
I'd definitely recommend it.
The only people I'd suggest it isn't for are anyone who has a cat allergy as the Homestay has two of them!
The room is large and clean. The staff are quite helpful. Very good experience.
Although i only stayed 2 nights with Mike, i enjoyed the stay. Especially since it is opposite the train station and facilitated my exit out of Hanoi.
The dinner with them was great as well. Amazing and simple home cooked food.
Thank you so much for your hospiltality Tracy! I will be back again!
Hanoi has wonderful lively parks by the lakes. And Mike's homestay was just in between 2 big parks. If the people in the streets are to shy to smile at u first, but the girls at Mike Homestay will greet u with their big smiles and warm welcome. Mike was away, so there were only the girls, but they were very much efficient to take care of everything to ensure we have a pleasant stay. We did, and we love meeting the people who live there too. The girls can instantly be yr best friends to talk abt anything. Hope their dreams come true very soon. Hugs for Hang!! :*
