Your private mountain retreat awaits at Upper Creek Cabin — a secluded creekside getaway perched directly on Paddy’s Creek, with direct access to Pisgah National Forest, nearby Linville Gorge and hiking trails. Just minutes from scenic Lake James, this peaceful cabin offers adventure, relaxation, and total privacy for couples, families, and dog lovers.

The Cabin
Enjoy your stay in a fully private, tastefully furnished cabin with pine hardwood floors, porcelain tile in the kitchen and bathroom, and thoughtful rustic-modern décor.

Master Bedroom: King sleigh bed with 10” bamboo memory foam mattress, wall-mounted smart TV, dresser, and desk/chair setup.

Queen Bedroom: Comfortable pillow-top mattress, dresser, closet, and small desk.

Living Room: Cozy sofas and recliners, TV with Roku (no cable), open flow to dining area with large table and French doors to back deck.

Kitchen: Full kitchen with stainless and black appliances, 2-person bar with creek views, cookware, and gas grill on the back deck.

Outdoor Experience
Relax on the large back porch or hammock while listening to the rushing creek, or enjoy the covered front deck for morning coffee as birds sing. Explore nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, Linville Gorge, and Lake James, or take a short walk to a natural “swimming hole.” Perfect for romantic getaways, outdoor adventures, or peaceful escapes.

Connectivity & Work
Strong, free WiFi throughout the cabin supports remote work or streaming (rural speeds may vary). Cell signal is intermittent, ideal for unplugging while staying productive.

We proudly welcome dogs with no pet fee and no breed restrictions. Bring your furry friends — the cabin is their paradise too!

Note: Another rental cabin is on the drive in, but Upper Creek Cabin is privately positioned and naturally secluded by abundant mountain laurel and rhododendron.

Other things to note
The driveway is gravel and fairly long with a steeper portion, it has about an 18-20% grade to it. Fall 2025 the driveway has been reworked and asphalt milling installed, most vehicles make it just fine. At times the steep portion, depending on the weather, can be a little rough and low clearance vehicles could drag. AWD recommended in winter

I absolutely love the outdoors, nature and my pets. I enjoy traveling and taking in new experiences that life has to offer. Time spent with good friends and family is good for the soul. I look for just peaceful and quiet placed I am blessed to live in one of the most beautiful places in NC right at the base of the Linville Gorge situated right on the local river, Paddy’s Creek and only7 minutes from scenic Lake James. I want to share my area with others and enjoy seeing and experiencing other wonderful new places as well.
