The only thing shared is the bathroom which is across from the room. The room is completely private with your own set of keys. It is a studio room without the bathroom attached to the room.
Upon arrival, you are primarily greeted by myself or my house cleaner who will give you the keys and show you around the apartment. We then leave you to enjoy the apartment and city. I am always available by email, text, or phone if you have any questions.
Really great neighborhood and our room was bright and clean as promised, the bed was quite comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. We didn't meet our hosts but they were in quick communication for anything we needed. The only issue was that we were never able to connect to the internet and the TV seemed to have similar trouble and would cut out periodically when connection weakened. We also didn't love the shared bathroom -- it was not air conditioned and the window which had no screen was left open day/night by others. That said, we really just weren't comfortable with the shared bathroom concept, so we will probably avoid that type of rental in the future -- again, just personal preference. Other than that -- all was quite nice and as promised -- coffee was available, clean towels/sheets, comfortable bed, clean refrigerator, etc.
We really enjoyed our stay at Tanya and Erika's place. It was clean, convenient, and and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a place in Brooklyn.
Erika was very kind and helpful. The place is very well located close to subway stations and Barclay Center (New york Nets gym). A really nice start to discover Brooklyn and Manhattan !
The place was accurately described and photographed, a convenient location in Brooklyn near amenities. While the bathroom was shared, it was never crowded or dirty, thanks to the daily cleaner. Erika was great at responding to any questions or concerns. Highly recommended.
Did not meet the owners, though instructions were simple and we got in quickly. Space was very well-located and clean.
Towels were provided and the linens were fresh.
I neglected to read that we had to share a bathroom with other guests, though this was never a problem. The bathroom was clean.
The space is very cozy and a nice place to stay for a few days while you explore NYC or Brooklyn. Great studio!
Thank you so much, Erika and Tanya! The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. It's such a bright, sunny room! We couldn't have enjoyed it more. Erika was so quick to answer any questions and text messages, even though she was out of town. Checking in and out was a breeze. The bathroom across the hallway was spotless, and there was never a wait. Fort Greene is a great neighborhood, with so much to do. I will definitely be contacting Erika again for my next trip to Brooklyn. You're the best! Thanks, again!
Never met the host, but she called several times and the key was available as she described so access was simple. The location was very convenient, just a short walk from the Barclay Center convergence of many metro lines. The studio is in a row of brownstones on a short and quiet street very close to a neighborhood of eateries and services. Shared bath, but never saw another resident. Good stay!
The room had everything we needed; a fridge, toaster, coffee machine, cooking supplies, etcetera. Location is perfect, near the supermarket and the underground.
We did not meet Erika in person, we only had contact by sms. We did meet the cleaner several times, he was very helpful.
We would definitely recommend this place.
A place exactly as advertised and a perfect landing pad in Brooklyn. Everything worked smoothly and even though there were events at the Barclay Center, I really didn't hear any noise in the street as others have mentioned. Highly recommended!
We stayed one week at the studio and everything was fine and convenient. Communication was really easy and fast with Erika and she was very kind at all time, asking us if everything was ok during our week there and even she let us to check out later to leave our lugagge until our flight in the afternoon. The studio was clean and the same you see at pictures, you find. The small kitchen had all you need to prepare your own breakfast or a quick meal, really useful! You can find many shops and restaurants around the studio and really well and fast connected to Manhattan and JKF airport. The shared bathroom was clean at all time we have to use it. We also really appreciate the silence of neighbors around to rest.About noises out, sirens or cars noises are some times annoying but if you are quite sensitive (like me) and have problems to get sleep, bring your earplugs. I´d really come back to this studio, price was affordable (for NY prices really!) and would recommend it for sure.
