About this listing
My condo is in the heart of Detroit. Midtown is one of the safest and most cultured neighborhoods in Detroit. The condo is located in the historic Park Shelton, which at one time housed Diego Rivera dna Frida Kahlo when Rivera was working on a mural.
The space is decorated in an old Detroit style. You will be able to relax in a queen size bed with a comfy couch and breakfast nook.
There is also a Sushi restaurant, pizza place, coffee shop, and retail all located in the building. There is also an amazing roofdeck that all guests can access.
The guest will be able to get access through a lockbox on the door.
I will be available close by if the guest needs anything.
The neighborhood is one of the best in the city. The Detroit Institute of Arts and Wayne State University are both directly across the street. Great bars, restaurants, and other things to do surround the building.
Uber is the best way to get around in Detroit.
We have a doorman so you will be able to get in at any time of the night. The keys will be on a lockbox or I will meet you with them
Not very much unless requested.
MIdtown is a great place to live. Considered the best and safest neighborhood in Detroit, you will have all of the amenities of a major metropolitan city, with the charm of Detroit. There are amazing restaurants, bars, museums (DIA), shops, and many other things to do.
Uber is easy to use in Detroit. Taxis are also very easy to get here.
The building is very safe and parking is available in the building.
When you arrive the apartment will be unlocked. The keys are on the right side when you walk in the door. The doorman will ask you where you are going and you need to tell them you are going to stay with Shane Bliemaster in #506.
Parking is $5/day and located on Woodward under the building.

I am located right across the street from the Detroit Institute of Art, the DPL, and MOCAD. Midtown is an amazing neighborhood with tons of culture, history, and art. You're just a short walk to get downtown.
Uber everywhere. It's cheap here.
Other Things to Note
There are a few restaurants and bars downstairs.
Enjoy the roof. It's breautiful!
Shane left detailed instructions via email and called before the trip to make sure all was set. The place was perfect! We couldn't have been better located and easily got to different neighborhoods via a quick cheap Uber ride ...or right across the street to check out the Detroit Institute of Art. The building is comfortable, safe, has coffee and different stores and restaurants located right underneath and the roof top is a great place to relax and have a view of Detroit. The studio was comfortable, felt relaxed and homey and had anything we could need. Wish we could have stayed longer...Shane's place made a first trip to Detroit a great one. Hope to be back again! Thanks!
Shane's apartment offered a great base for our explorations of Detroit. The location is just outside downtown and nearby a couple fun neighborhoods offering good coffee/food. The apartment itself has a good view facing downtown, and the roof deck is a nice touch. Shane was an accommodating host. There was a minor issue with the cleaning service he had used before we arrived, but Shane was quite responsive and apologetic about it. Overall our experience was good.
Shane's apartment was great! Clean, beautifully decorated, and located conveniently across the street from the Detroit Institute of Art, in the heart of Midtown. Loved the fact that there were restaurants within the building so when it was raining, I didn't even have to go outside.
Shane was really easy to communicate with and responded to my messages super fast. Overall, a really pleasant stay.
Shane, the host, was most welcoming by his accurate, fast and friendly communication. He even offered left good beers in the fridge (too bad I'm not a big beer drinker), which made me feel like I was visiting a friend.
I picked Shane's flat because of the location (one block from work at University) overlooking the DIA and the cool Detroit Midtown neighborhood. Oh, the rooftop terrace - fabulous.
Shane's place was great and Shane was a great host! Very easy to communicate and coordinate with. The flat is well-appointed, in a lovely historic building with access to a rooftop lounge, and in a excellent part of Midtown right next to the Detroit Institute of Arts. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting town!
Shane was a very gracious host. His apartment was very comfortable and in an excellent location. We were impressed by the comforts that Shane generously provided. If we were visiting Detroit again, we would gladly make a booking with him.
