What a great place to stay! Meera was extremely welcoming! She made us a lovely light breakfast every morning. There were tips in our room about places to go (the light house was awesome! Whales breaching the entire hike!). She had beach towels for us and lots of little things that made the stay very nice. The room was great and comfortable. The only downside was the vents in the wall at the top of the room. They feed into a shared space, so it is loud whenever anyone is in there. However, Meera was extremely respectful and we always felt like we had our own space. The location was excellent! Hanauma bay is a close, but steep walk away and there is a little shopping center just down the street. This place was easy to find coming from Honolulu and felt calming and out of the bustle of the city. 5-stars for sure!
Our hostess Meera Manghnani was kind and gracious, making us feel very comfortable for the three weeks we spent at her house.
Meera was a wonderful host. I stayed at her place for four weeks and it was a fantastic experience. Meera was very welcoming and the room with a private bathroom was well-prepared and clean. Meera provided me with delicious breakfast every morning, helped me with every question I asked and had everything I needed (lots of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, boogie boards).
Hawai Kai is a gorgeous neighborhood. Meera’s place is just minutes from Hanauma Bay and with walking distance you can also reach wonderful places like Koko Head Trial or China Walls. Furthermore, the location is quite close to a number of restaurants, cafés and shops (Koko Marina Center for example).
Nevertheless I would recommend to rent a car to explore the island. It’s only a short drive to town then.
I would absolutely come back when I’m in Oahu again. Highly recommended!
It was wonderful having you stay in my home. It took me a few days getting used to not seeing you and Florian around. With your dazzling personality and intelligence, you will become an amazing and effective teacher. I do hope that our paths cross again.
Let me know if you choose to return to islands - I will assist you in any way I can.
Meera gave us one of our best airbnb experiences ever! Her home is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood (a true blessing) - and is close to our favorite hiking spots and beaches (we loved Waimanolo). Our room was impeccably clean, inviting and comfortable. Meera is a kind and gracious hostess, and even made us breakfast each morning. We would love to return to Meera anytime! Thank you!
Meera is a truly an outstanding host with a big big heart! Thank you for your care and love, beautiful breakfast and the lovely cake that you baked. We have everything what we needed and I'd definitely recommend Meera for other guests.
Thank you for making out trip special!
This is a very nice room with a private bathroom inside a beautiful home within a gorgeous neighborhood. Just minutes from Hanauna Bay. Make sure you have a rental car as the place is not close to public transit. Plenty of free parking available on the street. Meera and her daughter are perfectly lovely and super welcoming. A lovely spread of breakfast options available. Laundry facilities available right next to the room. Very convenient. Bathroom has a nice large tub for a relaxing bath at the end of the day. Bed is super comfy. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and beyond reasonably priced. An all-around wonderful experience.
The host, Meera was very welcoming. The room was well-prepared and clean, and has its own bathroom. Meera offered a small breakfast as well, which wasn't really necessary: The location is excellent, quite close to a number of restaurants, cafés, and shops. The only negative about the room is that there's not much horizontal surface space—just one small table, and though there's a large window ledge a few feet above the bed there are no nightstands. Still, a very good unit and experience. Highly recommended.
