Finca Luna Nueva Lodge is a sustainable rainforest eco-lodge hotel, offering an intimate experience of primary rainforest together with a certified organic biodynamic farm, located only 35 minutes from La Fortuna, the adventure capital of Costa Rica, and home of world famous Arenal Volcano.
Our rooms have orthopedic mattresses, 400 TC sheets, and down (or alternative) pillows. There is always plenty of hot water and shampoo and conditioner are provided in the showers. We offer a substantial breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner for an additiional charge. Most of the fruit and produce that we serve is from our farm and is organic. We pride ourselves on serving wholesome, nutritious, and delicious Slow Food.
Finca Luna Nueva is a working ginger/turmeric farm. We offer tours of our gardens, the biodynamic area, and the sacred seeds garden. In addition there is a special rainforest hike that can be taken either during the day or at night. There are hammocks in Casa Luna as well as comfortable sofas and lounge chairs from which you can view some of our 200 species of birds, butterflies, and an occasional sloth or lizard. The sounds of the rainforest will lull you to sleep at night and the birds will wake you up in the morning -- no need for an alarm clock (although they are provided).
We are located approximately 30 minutes from the town of La Fortuna where you can see the volcano or enjoy some of the many hotsprings that are nearby. Our guest relations staff can arrange all the transportation for you, as well as other tours of the area.
Our swimming pool is chlorine free and our hot tub is solar heated. Both are the perfect way to end a day of hiking and exploring our farm.
We have quoted only one type of room; our Casa Luna. But we offer Individual Bungalow, Casa Sombra and the Family Bungalows, If Casa Luna is not available , you can be upgraded to our Individual Bungalows. We can accomodate from 2 to 6 persons depending of the type of room.
