The Valley of the Temples - Agrigento
The Valley of the Temples is one of the most evocative attractions in Sicily. It rises in the southern part of the old city and is considered the largest archaeological park in the world. In the almond-rich countryside, the splendid ruins of the temples rise, whose architectural majesty is still intact... you'll be fascinated!
This archaeological wonder consists of eight temples built in the 5th century BC: the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Concord, the Temple of Heracles, Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Temple of Castor and Pollux, the Temple of Hephaestus, the Temple of Demeter, and the Temple of Aesculapius (god of medicine). The last one is located on the banks of the river Akragas, all the others are in the same area on a rocky escarpment in the south of modern Agrigento.
The Valley of the Temples is the most sublime testimony of Greek civilization in Sicily to date and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

Scala Dei Turchi
This is a singular white cliff made of limestone and clay, which rises along the coast of Realmonte and overlooks a crystal clear sea. Its name derives from the Turkish invasions, since legend has it that the Saracens who arrived from the sea climbed the cliff to reach the neighboring countries and attack them. It has become a tourist attraction due to its particular shape and color; wind and rain have shaped it for many years, creating a huge natural scale whose lines are rounded and irregular. Its white rocks look brighter thanks to the sunshine and the incredibly clear water... it's a paradise!
