  • The flat has lot of conveniences, it has all the things that a house needs. We were very good there. The flat is easily accessible by public transport (bus and metro).
I would love to repeat the experience

  • I am speaking on behalf of 4 romanians who felt very welcome in Monica's apartment in October 2013. The flat is very cosy and it's perfect for 4 people. Pictures are really true to reality, although some of us even said it looked better live :)

Location will really work for any of you - 5 minutes away from the Vatican, and one bus will take you straight to the Colosseum in 20 minutes.

I totally recommend this apartment, it was a great first experience for us with airBnB and with Rome!

  • This is my first airbnb experience. I feel very lucky to meet Monica. Se is so friendly and helpful. Se was there in the time as we planed. The house was clean and comfortable. The location of the house is perfect. 5 minutes from Vatican Museum, 2 minutes from Ottaviano metro station. It is also possible to find restaurants and make shopping.
If you wanna stay in Rome, do not hesitate to stay in this house. You will be very satisfied.

  • Monica is very good and reliable host. The communication was just perfect, very pleasant, smooth and fast. She hold back a flat for us as I had some issues to book with my app. The key handover was perfect. The hosts waited in the apartment, as the flight delayed by around an hour.

The flat is modern, specious, clean and well located in the residential area near Vatican, close to the metro station. There are some good restaurants in proximity.

Our complain was a hot water heating system. There were four of us staying in the place. As the boiler is quite small, there was not enough hot water for shower in the morning and you have either to wait for an hour or to skip shower completely.

I also found a bit disturbing to see framed house rules, hanging on the walls in every room instead of pictures. I think it gives a place an unpleasant touch, which can be easily avoided. A bit of trust would fit better to the 'air-bnb' world.

Check-out was at 10am on Sunday, which was a bit painful after a night out and since the host doesn't provide a possibility to keep your bags, we had to take care for these by ourselves (the lockers at train station are quite expensive and time consuming).

Overall good quality flat with a reliable host. If the above mentioned shortcomings don't disturb you, you would not be disappointed with the remaining service provided.

  • We could not have asked for a better place to stay while in Rome. The apartment was located near everything. With a family of 4 the place was perfect.
Monica and her father were there to greet us and were available anytime we had questions.
I highly recommend this location when in Rome.
Thank you Monica - you definitely made Rome a place to remember!

  • Monica's Roman apartment is everything she described. It is a modern and enjoyable flat in a very desirable neighborhood. The Ottaviano Metro station is so close and makes sightseeing the city that much easier. Monica was very responsive to my questions while in Rome and took care of my requests right away. The flat has everything as described and is exceptionally clean and has all the amenities for a home away from home. My son and I stayed here for a week to visit Rome and see all the sights. When we returned each evening after an exhausting day we were able to grocery shop or stop into one of many cafes in the area for a delicious meal. The flat is very close to Vatican City and meeting tours was so very convenient. The Ottaviano Metro stop is just a few blocks away and made trips to Termini Station for main line trains and other metros so easy. When it reached 90 degrees we were so happy to have air conditioning in the flat. We highly recommend Monica and this apartment. Thank you for everything Monica!!

  • This was our first experience with Airbnb. Communication between us and Monica leading up to our arrival was prefect and flawless. She responded to our emails and answered any questions we had promptly.

Monica and her father met us at the apartment. They both speak English very well. Monica took us through the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know for our stay.

The apartment was clean, safe and had a ton of pamphlets and information on things to do in Rome. Monica even left a cell phone for us to use should we need it. The apartment had wifi so we just used the Internet for any reservations instead of the phone.

The location of the apartment is just North of the Vatican City. There are no hotels and other places for tourists to stay. This area is where the locals live, which is exactly what we wanted. It is really close to all things that tourists want to do, but you don't have to worry about crowds of people and tours.

There is the Metro within a 2 min walk from the apartment but we never used it. We walked everywhere including across the river an into the main part of the old city.

I don't have any complaints about our stay.

I would highly recommend Monica as a host and her apartment as a place to stay.

  • Hi there!

Excellent appartment that can easily house two couples (two big double beds) and is clean, properly renovated and equipped with a complete kitchen - which is unnecessary because restaurant "Il Colibri" down the stairs offers great food at a nice price (45 euro for mains, wine and dessert for two persons). Bed linen was clean and new, and there's no nightly noise except for light passing car sounds.

    Two major points of feedback:
    1) Avoid restaurant Dino & Tony across the street: rude service (the waiter was really forcing us to order what they wanted to), very poor quality food and more expensive than "Il Colibri".
    2) If you plan on going for business, don't expect the internet to live up to the modern definition of broadband: internet in the room is through one of those USB / cell-based thingies instead of a sturdy wireless router, which meant signal was down just as much as up, and don't even think of using DropBox syncing or VPN access! For "tourist internet" it is enough though, you can (website hidden) and check your mail, so in the end I went for five stars!
