About this listing

The space

A cozy, romantic, bright attic with a spectacular view of the Dolomites. 20 minutes walk from the heart of town along the pleasant pedestrian promenade, with a spacious balcony embracing the panorama of the whole valley, it's the perfect place to enjoy and savour the beauty of one of the most magnificent and renowned mountain venues in the world, now protected by Unesco. Decorated and equipped with care and love, it will make you feel thoroughly at home in the very moment you step inside the threshold.
And just across the road that runs behind the house, you can take advantage of the facilities - tennis courts, swimming pool, golf court - of Grand Hotel Miramonti Majestic.

Interaction with guests

I will always be available on my mobile.

Other things to note

There's a very good butcher that sells also all kinds of groceries and basic home products just steps from home, right behind the big wooden barn you see from the balcony on the left. They actually are primarily a catering group (in case you want to order some local specialties to dine at home): step towards the barn and follow "Caldara Catering" signposts.

Great instructions on how to get to the apartment and everything was clean - great beds, fantastic views, quiet because it is located a bit outside of the center of Cortina. Great place to use as a base for hiking in the Dolomites.

Our experience in Elena´s apartment exceeded our expectations. The place was so warm, charming and nice with genuine decoration and reflecting of Cortina heritage , that we really enjoyed our 5 days in, with excelent snow for skiing and mountain exploration. The rooms, living and kitchen were the ideal size for a family with 4 teenagers. it is very close to cortina town , not more than 2 kms and with a strategic location to explore the área.We really recommend the apartment! .

We loved staying at this great flat just outside Cortina. It was in a quiet area with an easy walk to the center of town. The 7 of us all fit well into the flat, which had a great view of the mountains and was very comfortable. It was a great base to explore the area, and we did lots of cooking in the flat.

Elena's apartment in cortina is wonderful. You open the door to a magnificent view of the mountains from a large open living room dining area. Every morning we woke up to a beautiful view from the bedroom and felt like we were right in the mountains. It was amazing to be up on the mountains in the day and then come home and point out where we had been The house really felt like home. We were sad to leave ! Elena responded right away to any questions we had and was a great host. Also there is a great little market a two minute walk away that has fantastic salami and prosciutto. It's Fun to go pick up a few things there and feel like a local.

We had a great stay at Elena's apartment in Cortina. The balcony had a lovely view on the Dolomites, and the apartment was authentic, cosy, and breathing the family history of passion for the Dolomites. That 's what we sought after.

If you are looking for a "home" in Cortina, this is the choice. The house is so well-equipped that you find everything as if your own home. Elena is very considerate to fit our check in and check out time, and she always replies promptly to your query.

Elena User ProfileElena is a superhost.

Easy going, many friends, independent, lived abroad, always loved having guests and making them comfortable, love reading, cooking, networking, sharing, walking, working, the seaside. Mentally dynamic, I dislike hectic pace. I have always worked in the publishing and cultural sector.
In the past yrs I’ve been very active in the hosts’ community. This entailed managing, following Airbnb’s request, Milan Hosts’ social forum for its entire existence; teaching two seminars at Airbnb headquarters in San Francisco during the first AirbnbOpen - annual worldwide convention - in 2014; participating with other eight European leading hosts in the Dublin HQ in the launch of the new site in 2014; moderating the Q&A session with the three founders in Paris at 2015 Open; hosting one of the three founders, etc. I have been an Airbnb evangelist both privately and in press and tv interviews etc. In short: I love hosting, and am also intellectually passionate about the Airbnb phenomenon, that I find most interesting under very many extents!
