The Artists’ Lodge is a quiet apartment decorated with artworks by young Romans. Well connected to the center, the apartment is very close to Quattro Venti Station, with train services to St. Peter’s Basilica as well as also Bracciano and Viterbo. Located in a quiet and well served area, the apartment comprises a double bedroom with large closet, a sitting area with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator and a spacious bathroom with shower.
Parking is free on the road.
The Lodge is located in Via Giulio Barrili 39, in a quiet area served by banks, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, pharmacies and street markets.
The house is located in Monteverde Vecchio, the district situated on the hill that overlooks the center of the city, whose slopes reach the village of Trastevere and Borgo Pio, the tangle of alleys around the Basilica di San Pietro. Monteverde is a neighborhood full of green: the walk of the Gianicolo, with its panoramic terrace and the old Punch and Judy show, Villa Sciarra, perhaps the most beautiful Roman villa, whose fountains, statues and hedges create a strong visual impact, and especially Villa Doria Pamphili, which, with its 184 hectares, is the largest historic villa in Rome, visited by lovers of jogging, picnics under the pine forests, for walks in the avenues or lazy afternoons on the banks of the pond. In the summer, these parks host a number of interesting artistic events in theater, music and dance, with many initiatives for children.

We inform you that the the third bed is a sofa bed situated in a sitting area, suitable for a child or a person not too big!
Nicola was very sweet and helpful! Picked us up at the station and everything. Also, very nice neighborhood.
The flat is located in a calm area, with many supermarkets nearby, providing everything you need;
There are also Many bus lines in the area, which makes it easy to move to the center. Eventhough the flat itself isn't in the center, it takes 20 min to be in the heart of the city
We were in Rome in January 2014. We liked Nicola’s apartment very much. It’s a rather large, comfortable, warm flat in a good area. Nicola is a very responsive, nice and sociable man, who ready to help you at any time. For example, we arrived so late in Rome, when all shops were closed, but Nicola took care about us and we found some food in a kitchen, that we had in our first breakfast. It was so nice and unexpectedly. We liked everything and we want to stay there again.
Our life at Rome was very comfortable and interesting. Nicola apartment located in a quiet elevated position. Bus stop is next to the house, best way for reach the historic center. The area has everything what can need. Shops, cafes, pizzerias and the market are very good. Very beautiful villa is not far from the house, must to see! We are recieved a positive experience. Thanks Nicola for a comfortable living conditions!

This apartment was excellent value for money. Only about 20 minutes walk from Trastevere and in a really quiet and pretty residential area.
Nicola was incredibly helpful and friendly and was waiting for us outside the apartment when we arrived.
We had a great time and would definitely visit again!
Nicola's apartment is located in a great, quite neighborhood, right near a stop for buses that can take your to all the sites and sounds downtown, but far enough away from the touristy district that you feel like you're getting a taste of the real Rome. The apartment was large and the kitchen was really beautifully designed. Furthermore, it was really easy to schedule our arrival and departure with Nicola.
While it was a decent place to stay, the apartment wasn't incredibly clean when we arrived - areas between couches and walls, between the nightstand and the bed were quite dirty, which admittedly wouldn't have been a problem except that we had to move these furnishings out to access electrical outlets. I quick sweep and wipe down before we arrived could have solved these problems. Also, while the listing advertises wifi, the router actually has only an ethernet port, so it made internet access difficult. Likewise, the TV didn't work (not that one should really need to watch TV when visiting Rome, but I was traveling with someone who likes background noise when she sleeps, so it would have been better had the television worked).
Overall, the location and price of this apartment certainly outweigh the small problems that we had.
The Artists' Lodge was a lovely apartment with everything you could hope for, for a pleasant stay in Rome. It is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood within walking distance of the lively Trastevere neighbourhood (a slow, half hour stroll)
The apartment is well served by public transport, and near cafés and supermarkets too.
Nicola was an attentive host, but, to be honest, everything was provided for, and my visit went off without any problems whatsoever.
I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning!
We had a great stay at Nicola´s apartemen! It has everything you need for a couple of days of stay. It has enough space for up to 3 persons. The neighbourhood is great! It seems like one of the upper class areas in Rome, and to live there for such a low price was just perfect. The neighbourhood (Trastevere) has everything you need: supermarket, pizzaria and restaurants, coffee shop and bus stations a 7-minute-walk away. Bus 75 takes you to the Colloseo and tot the next Tram station.
Nicola himself is a great host! He even picked us up at the Train Station Trastevere on our arrival day! That was very generous of him! The apartement is in the basement but that was quite alright. It has windows and doesn´t give you a basementish feeling.
Next time in Rome we will absolutely come here again!

Our stay in Rome and Nicola's apartment was really nice. The apartment is quite tiny, it looks bigger in pictures, but it's Ok for 2-3 people, not more. There were all needed equipment for cooking or making breakfast, tea, coffee. As for location it's nice and quite and safe neibourhood. Supermarket is like 5 minutes work down the street. Also there was a perfect caffeteria in front of the house with fantastic ice cream and cookies. To reach the center it takes about 30-40 minutes by bus, it depends on traffic. The bus goes every 20-35 minutes and if needed it takes you straight to Termini station through centre. There is also a night bus no. 19 going from Piaza Venecia.
Thank you also for Nicola, because he was waiting for us in front of apaprtment, explained all necessary things and we could call him whenever needed.
Hope you will enjoy your stay too.
