Perfect location being our first time in Austin. Accommodation compact but very adequate for our stay. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely yard to sit out in although it was very hot while we were there and we couldn't appreciate it as much as we would have liked. Walking distance to practically anywhere, food trucks, the continental club, south congress. A little further to downtown but doable if it had been cooler. Edward was quick to respond to any questions and instructions to enter the cottage were easy enough. Would recommend his cottage to anyone visiting Austin.
Zen cottage was great and would absolutely stay here again! Edward was very organized and professional, providing excellent instructions on getting in/out and very accessible. The cottage is perfect - quaint small house, perfect for a couple. Extremely clean, comfortable, and close to South 1st trucks and restaurants which was ideal. Highly recommended!
This little cottage is soooo sweet! Edward has created a space that is welcoming, comfortable and beautiful, with all the details taken care of. Not only that, he seriously went above and beyond as a host for us, allowing us check-in/out flexibility and answering a million questions. His check-in system is super easy -- keys are left in a secure location, very clear directions for how to access them. We didn't get to meet Edward personally, but he was ever-ready via text for any questions we had. My BF and I stayed here for 4 nights -- it's perfect size for two people. It's got a nice comfy bed, streamlined bathroom, a really nice kitchen with anything you would need, coffee there on the counter, comfy couch in the living room. Oh, and a lovely backyard garden with hammock that we used each day. We love Austin, and wanted to be in the South Congress area. This cottage is a minutes away walk to South Congress St, the Continental Club, Guero's, Allen's Boots, and FOOD TRUCKS.... all of which we frequented daily. The location right off 1st St is easy for taxis to find. We opted not to keep a car so we called a cab whenever we wanted to go to locations like downtown, South Lamar, Zilker Park, LadyBird Lake, etc. Sure, taxis aren't the MOST convenient in Austin, but we had lots of very interesting conversations with the cab drivers. But there is parking right there at the cottage should you need to park. Many of the places we wanted to see would be an easy bike ride away too. The neighborhood is nice, very interesting houses on the street. We walked to/from Congress St at all hours and always felt comfortable. Overall, I can't say enough nice things about our experience. I have stayed in lots of airbnb's and this is one of the nicest I've seen. Thanks, Edward!
Perfect location! Edward was kind enough to let us check in early and the process was very smooth with the electronic lock. We loved the location and the cottage is just as it is in the pictures and the backyard is even better in person. It's right across the street from some of Austin's famous food trucks but only a short walk to South Congress. We rented bikes which was perfect because we could get anywhere from our location. This is ideal for anyone who wants a quiet space in a beautiful neighborhood with character but wants to be near restaurants/shops/parks. We had such a great time and would stay here again!
Edward was an excellent host and his cottage was lovely and very cozy and comfortable! As other reviewers have said, its location and its sweet backyard really stand out as special.
Edward's apartment was cozy, clean and welcoming. This was our first visit to Austin and I wanted to stay somewhere close to restaurants and stores. This place was perfect. There were several restaurants nearby including Freddie's, El Mercado and the Trailer Park food trucks. Edward also has a driveway so parking the car was never an issue. Instructions to access the bungalow were clear and simple. Overall, it was a great stay! Highly recommend!
Edward gave great instructions for getting to the house, how to get in, and use of wifi. I also appreciated the fully stocked coffee pods and how clean the house was. Very cute, quite neighborhood. The backyard is definitely the highlight. We spent one evening with friends, drinking wine and lounging in the hammock.
