Far away from home, but still feeling like at home... I never thought this could be possible. It was so great to stay at Savio's house. All clean, tidy and nicely equipped. Location in the city center, with everything that you need so close. At the same time calm neighborhood, isolated from the city noise. Definitely hospitality on the highest level. I hope to stay here again one day.
I rented the secondary room in Savio's house for the last week of Oktoberfest. The house is very nice and about 2km (easily walkable)from the Vila Germanica. The room is very simple (twin mattresses placed together within full size bed frame, large dresser and 2 night stands). There was no A/C or fan, so the room did get warm on occasion. Savio is very open with his home and his time. We shared meals on several occasions and showed me many different parts of Blumenau that I would not have seen on my own. I had a great time at Savio's and would rent from him again. Just beware of the mosquitoes!
Dear Juan, I'm working on the AC right now, for both rooms. That will fix the mosquitoes as well. So, for the next time, no heat at all!
Oh, and I'm sooooo addicted to Gone Girl (on my new kindle)! Damn, it is good indeed. I'd advise you to try "Wool", by Hugh Howey!
