Prime location for this private guesthouse with private fenced-in side yard. It is located behind the owners' own beautiful home. Walk less than 1 mi. on the red brick paver streets to visit your Stetson Law School student. If a romantic, beach get-away is more your style, St Pete Beach and Treasure Island are less than 3 mi.. Downtown Gulfport has been called "funky, eclectic, artsy, charming, progressive, welcoming, warm, and yes, even weird." is less than 2 mi. Snowbirds welcome, too!

The space
*The space can comfortably fit three adults. There is a Queen bed, a futon, which converts to a single, and if needed for a third adult, you may rent for $10 a night, the fold-up, portable camping cot, which is great for a smaller adult (no mattress- but bedding is supplied). I have had 6' ft, 200 lb. men sleep on it comfortably.

The full names of EACH GUEST must be registered with government ID provided through Airbnb at the time of booking. ID may be checked at any point during stay.

Most suitcases can be stored under the bed so you can optimize your space.

*Please REMOVE SHOES upon entering. There is a shoe rack on the right side when you enter. It will help keep the space clean for you, as well as future guests. :)

*Please be respectful of the space and clean up after yourselves. We don't charge an automatic cleaning fee.

We are happy to OFFER YOU LOWER PRICES than a hotel and want to continue to do so. Please treat the space as a guest in my home, not a hotel where excessive liberties are sometimes taken by guests, which require additional cleaning hours for staff and greater expense.

*Please ALL GUESTS review the full listing (including house rules), as well as the blue info folder (next to TV) upon arrival. This will help to manage expectations for everyone. :)

**NO unregistered GUESTS PLEASE on property. Some guests want to show the bungalow to their friends/family, but please refrain from bringing unregistered guests on property due to liability. If compliance on this is not followed, expulsion from property without refund will follow. Only the PRE-REGISTERED guests allowed on property. Thank you so much in advance. :)

*Transparency and trust are vital to the Airbnb experience. People rely on information in Airbnb profiles, reviews, and other verifications when deciding whether to host or stay with someone.

*We require Airbnb reservations booked for personal travel to be booked by the person who's going to stay at the listing. Due to LIABILITY, please no last minute overnight guests. You cannot pay for someone else’s stay as a gift. Just as you cannot book on behalf of someone else as a third party booking.

*For business trips, Airbnb allows designated bookers at companies enrolled in Airbnb for Business to book trips on behalf of others.

*There is a small refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, single induction hotplate. Plates, bowls, glassware, flatware and special pots, pans and utensils for induction cooking and of course a coffee maker. The kitchenette is great for LIGHT COOKING. Microwavable items are work well.

*Outside electric grilling is easy with the a small table-top Weber grill with cover. There is a foldable table that can easily be set up and used while grilling. There are grilling utensils and soft scrub sponges available for after-use cleaning.

*There is a single sink in the bungalow. There is space for your own personal toiletries. Hand soap is provided. A SPECIAL MAKE-UP REMOVAL FACECLOTH IN BLACK is provided and should be used instead of the light colored towels. It helps to keep the integrity of the towels free from stains.

A separate washing basket for dishes, with its separate drain is supplied. There is also a small drying rack for the dishes you use.

*Instead of a hot water heater, I try to be environmentally conscious so there is an insta-hot water heating system for your shower and sink hot water needs. Just turn it on by using the dial for your desired water temperature a few minutes prior to use and it will heat up to your desired level.

*There is a portable AC unit, as well as an AC window unit, tower fans and ceramic heater for the cooler months. Please use the WINDOW UNIT as the PRIMARY cooling
A/C. The portable
A/C is for secondary use please.

When leaving the space for long periods of time, please RAISE THE TEMP up on A/C units and LOWER THE TEMP on the heater to save on electric, as well as TURN OFF all interior lights.

*The side yard is fenced in and PRIVATE. It's a perfect spot for reading a book and relaxing with your morning coffee. There is a large assortment of birds and butterflies and you'll often see or hear parrots and other birds. Unwind on the side yard and enjoy a beverage prior to heading out for a night out on the town. Maybe the comedy club in St Pete Beach?

*You can easily apply make-up at the stand up mirror or create a workspace for yourself by rolling the white storage cart away from the white cabinet and setting up a foldable stool at the white table top instead.

*If you need to seat three people for a quick meal, there are two foldable stools, which can be used at the white cabinet. For easy access, the stools are housed under the TV cabinet.

*NO SMOKING outside in the side yard or inside the guesthouse. Vaping is allowed outside. Shoes must be removed prior to entering.

*There is a space on the right side of the door where you can place your shoes. I want to keep the space as clean as possible for you, as well as other future guests so I ask that guests remove their shoes upon entering the space. Thank you in advance :)

*There is a Roku TV, which will enable you to watch basic channels on Spectrum through the app. You will need to sign in to Netflix or Amazon Prime, using your own account. The Wi-Fi password is posted in the bungalow in case you need to connect to your laptop, etc.

* Almost everything is new in the space.

*There is mulched parking pad for you in the alley behind the guest bungalow. You will have your own gate, as well as a keyless entry for the unit. There is a set of double gates, which I need to use for my own vehicle's access, so please do not block those gates. The gate does not lock automatically so you must use your hands to adjust the black lock to ensure the gate is properly locked and the gate remains closed.

*My locked storage closet is located next to the bathroom so you may hear me in there getting supplies.

**This property does not charge an automatic cleaning fee upon booking.

****However, IF EXCESSIVE CLEANING is needed after departure , A FEE WILL BE CHARGED to the guest depending upon how the long it takes to remedy the heavy cleaning situation.

Late checkout after 10AM will be charged a minimum of $100, plus cost of cleaners hourly fees will be charged while they wait for the bungalow to be vacant*****

*The cleaning person will charge BY THE HOUR ( living wage) Please clean up after yourself, cleaning up as you go in order to keep the final cleaning manageable (especially if your stay is over a week).

If you are having an extended stay (over a week), a quick walk through with the host may be done periodically to help ensure everything is maintained in great shape for you and address any issues quickly.

If the you have booked an extended stay (over a week), but the condition of the bungalow is deemed to be used beyond customary use and basic wear and tear of interior or exterior for that period of time by the host, the guest will be required to hire and pay for a weekly cleaner in order to bring the space back to rental standards.

If house rule compliance are not followed and the host feels the guest is not a good fit for the space
expulsion from property without refund will follow.

*Trash baskets, broom/dustpan, vacuum and basic cleaning products
are provided for you to clean up as spills/messes occur.

*IF EXCESSIVE sand/dirt/staining of linens, rugs, bathroom, walls, floors and furniture, etc. will require heavy duty cleaning, and the item(s) is still too damaged for the next guest's stay, the current guest will be notified and REPLACEMENT FEES AND A Minimum of $15 PER ITEM ADMINSTRATIVE FEE will be billed. Photos of damage will be provided.

There is a $250 deposit.

The Stetson neighborhood is a quiet, family neighborhood and everyone respects quiet hours, which are between 9PM and 8 AM . Some neighbors are star gazers and love the quiet while looking for a shooting star.

Looking for an island lifestyle at the Gulf of Mexico with white sand beaches, umbrella drinks and sandy toes, well then you are just a quick 3 mile drive to either St Pete Beach or Treasure Island. If your are hungry or thirsty and don't want to pack a lunch, you can leave your beach chair and umbrella and walk to a super casual, beachfront restaurant/bar such as Caddy's on Sunset Beach. Sunsets along the Gulf are also a big draw for visitors and residents. Just bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the view.

Downtown Gulfport has a very eclectic vibe and the main street has great shops and food options. Tuesdays are Fresh Market Days in Gulfport. Some restaurants/bars offer live music on certain nights.

At the southern tip of St Pete, you'll pass the famous big pink hotel, The Don Cesar, and see some of the beautiful homes and beaches of Pass-a Grille. Many gather in front of the restaurant, Hurricanes, listen to some music and watch a sunset.

Don't forget Fort Desoto, which is approx. an 8 mile drive and has been highly ranked as one of the best beaches in the nation. It is also great for fishing and kayaking.

Drive approx. 5 miles east and you'll hit downtown St Pete, where you can catch some culture with a variety of museums, such as the Dali and the Chihuly Collection. Catch a Devil Rays game at Tropicana Field. Experience the sights and sounds of downtown, with its variety of bars and restaurants, shopping and a new St Pete Pier.

The guest bungalow is just a few blocks from the Pinellas Trail, which is approx. 37 miles long. It runs south from Tarpon Springs, which is known for its sponge diving and delicious Greek fare, down to St. Petersburg. Bring your bike or walk the trail. A walk around this Stetson neighborhood is nice, as well.

Heading north approx. 20 miles you'll be at the Tampa International Airport. However, the drive can be 45 min. or more if you hit it during traffic. Usually an Uber or Lyft charges around $30-$35 one way, once again prices and times can vary depending on the time of day, events, etc. Watch the Bucs at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, the Tampa Bay Lightning in Tampa at the Amalie Arena, Riverwalk and Armature Works in downtown Tampa. Hit the culture of Ybor City and the hand rolled cigars and experience the energy of Centro Ybor's people, food and shops.

There are great shopping resources approx. 1 mile away such as Publix, Winn-Dixie, Walmart Neighborhood Market, CVS, Walgreens, Italian restaurant, breakfast, nail salon, liquor store, pilates studio, gym, bank, UPS store if you need to have mail transferred to a PO box temporarily, a car repair and a gas station etc. There is also a laundromat and drycleaner approx. 1 mile away.

I live quietly on the property with my Springer Spaniel rescue, Major Wiggles. He is also my support/service dog, who has damaged lungs due to being trapped in a house fire, so please no smoking inside or outside. I keep to myself, so I will not bother you.

It's a great space to enjoy during this COVID time. Unlike hotels, there is no one on the property that you would need to interact with, so it is perfect for enjoying the fresh air in your own private yard and interior space. At my guest bungalow you will experience a sense of freedom with lots of Florida sunshine, while maintaining social distancing with ease.

You may reach me via text, which you'll receive after reservation confirmation is made. I return communication within a few hours or less. I've tried to set the space up so you will have no issues, just pure enjoyment and great memories. I personally selected all items in the space so if your interested in where I purchased something, I'd be happy to tell you about my shopping finds and where you may purchase one of your own.

I ask that you leave everything as you found it and if you happen to like something, please remember this is part of my home. It is not a hotel.

Please do not take anything with you as a vacation momento, as many guests do in a hotel.

My VIDEO CHECKLIST of the interior/exterior of the space, helps to keep everything in tip top shape for you, as well as the next guest, who may be arriving later that day.
I make sure to take inventory of the space via video prior to each guest's arrival to ensure the space is as advertised.

We require government ID with photo for the reservation, FULL NAMES of all registered, adult guests and acknowledgment that full listing/rules, etc. were read by all. ID may be requested during visit. NO VISITORS, PLEASE.

MAY be able to book consecutive 28 day blocks, if you are planning a longer stay, but must contact host to discuss the possibility of consecutive blocks.
**INSTANT BOOK is NOT available for stays of more than 14 days **

This space isn't for permanent renting, which would require a lease. For longer stays (over a week), periodic walk-thrus may be done with the host to ensure upkeep of space, as well as adherence to house rule guidelines. The guest may be required to hire and pay for a housekeeping service, if cleanliness is not kept up. If negative conditions or poor fit between host and guests are determined (such as not adhering to rules, etc.) , subsequent blocks of time will not be honored by host and cancellation of remainder of reservation will be implemented by host.

*The space is NOT designed or equipped for heavy cooking; especially things that are odorous or stain and splatter easily, so please refrain from making those in the bungalow. Light cooking, especially using the microwave are usually easiest. Thank you in advance.

***I believe that once you've stayed as a guest. you'll want to return if you frequent the Gulfport area. I do want to give my guests an outstanding
