Casa Ira Rosa is situated in the mountains of Monteverde just a few minutes walk to the world famous Monteverde Reserve. This peaceful retreat, is nestled within the misty canopy and offers a distinct log cabin feel.
The space
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 living room areas and a porch! Great for families! It has 3 bedrooms, two with 1 double bed and one with a single bed. The house is big enough to sleep up to 7 people, the extra sleeping in sofa beds. We can provide extra sheets and pillows in this case.
Guest access
Casa Ira Rosa shares the property with another house and a little cabina. Please feel free to walk around the property, talk to the owners (my parents and me) who live in the property, and say hi to our pets, Lulu (a very friendly small poodle).
Other things to note
We can arrange transportation to and from San Jose or Liberia airport
to Monteverde, shared or private. Tourist attractions like zip lines, hanging bridges, coffee tours and similar usually provide transportation and they will pick and bring you back to the hotel close to the house. Let us know in advance and we can help you with information or reservations for this attractions or any other things to do in Monteverde.

The nearest shopping center ("downtown" Santa Elena) is about 3 miles away from the house. Along the way to Santa Elena you can find all kinds of restaurants, shops and information offices.
The Monteverde Reserve entrance, is only 10 to 15 minutes walking from the house (about 800 meters). The best hikes are very early in the morning, between 5 and 6:30 am, or in the evenings after 4 pm, to observe birds. The Reserve is open from 7 am to 3 pm .
