Check In
  • A friend and I visited New York for a few days for vacation. Fatima and her mother were so kind and helpful, and the house fit our needs well. The location suited us - plenty of everything we needed. We wished the kitchen had been a little cleaner, but overall everything worked out very well, and Fatima and her family were very accommodating and helpful.

  • My husband and I spent two nights at Fatimah's house. It is located in a 10 minutes walk from subway station and it is a classic Brooklyn neighborhood with lovely townhouses, just as we expected from movies :)

It is quite fast to get from JFK (about 1 hour using subway) and to Manhattan (40 min to Columbus Circle).

The room is absolutely private and we were surprised with a small fridge though did not use it. The bathroom is tiny, for one person at one time only. We were provided with two towels, but no toiletries. The room has plenty of space to store clothes, the bed is comfortable.

It was easy to get into the house following Fatimah's instructions though nobody was home, it is very convinient. We left while her mom was in, but in general we did not meet the family.

We recommend this place if you are not afraid of using subway twice a day to get to the city center.

  • The suite was nice and it was good to have a private bathroom to ourselves. We did not see Fatima much but that did not cause any problems, she had always taken care that things were arranged. The neighborhood is exciting, a nice mix of people and places to go. The subway brings you to the city quickly, but it is a walk of about 15 minutes to the nearest station.

  • We had a very comfortable stay. It was easy to get the keys even though Fatimah wasn't there when we arrived. Everything was like in the description and pictures. Towels were provided, the bedroom and bathroom were very clean and it's quiet at night since the room is in the back of the house with a small balcony to the backyard. We met Fatimah's brother and had a friendly chat with him but most of the time we were on our own and private. I recommend this place, thanks!

  • Had a lovely stay at Fatimah's. Didn't get to meet her personally but her family was very welcoming to us. The room was clean and comfortable despite being booked on short notice.

  • Part of my normal work schedule is to be in NYC every six weeks or so, and this trip as always lately, I wanted to stay in Brooklyn, since it provides a retreat of sorts from the city. Finding the place was easy, the S train (three blocks away) was an easy connection to the Q (my favorite scenic ride into Manhattan), though very busy in the mornings. The place was exactly like the photos, comfortable and clean with plenty of storage and though it is a room in their house, felt quite private.

I met Fatimah, her best friend, and some other family members and everyone was very nice and kindhearted. The neighborhood felt safe, and is classic ethnic Brooklyn, There are plenty of places to eat and have a drink within walking distance and the livery service (drivers) are readily available, Certainly a place I would recommend. Thanks again.

  • we stayed in private suite, this place is OK, could use a cleaning... we never met Fatimah. I would say this place is ok if you stay a couple nights and only plan to sleep and shower.

  • I had to check in a little earlier than expected, and probably woke up the host! However she was so nice and went ahead and got to room ready for me in no time! I didn't spend much time in the apartment , but my stay was very comfortable. I love the fact that I was close to all the shops. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again.
