Amazing Views of wicklow harbour and along the East Coast up as far as Greystones! A short walk from the town where there are a variety of lovely pubs and restaraunts. Also close to Wicklow Historic Gaol and the beautiful cliff walk to the light houses along which seals are often seen sunbathing or swimming. A great base from which to explore beautiful garden county including the fantastic National park.

Location

Wicklow, County Wicklow, Ireland

This is a quiet spot just outside Wicklow Town with beautuful views over Wicklow Harbour and along the east coast. It is within walking distance of the town(less than 10minute) but the walk back is all uphill! There are plenty of pubs and a number of good eateries in the town such as the lighthouse restaurant on the Quay if you like seafood, Case Pepes in the square for Italian, Phil Healys, The Bridge or The Brass Fox for some nice pub grub. The local golf club offers good food along with the most stunning coastal views from the club house restaraunt and bar.
There are some lovely coastal walks such as the Murrogh, which is a nature reserve, with the sea to one side and the lakes to the other. You can walk as far as Bray and get the bus back to Wicklow Town ( not for the meek...it is about 30km!) but you can always just do part of the walk!
There is a cliff walk from Glen Strand out to the lighthouses, with the seal beaches along the route.
You can travel inland by car(about 20-25min) to Wicklows National Park. There is also a local link bus that will bring you to and from the Town center to the National Park.
