We love the Jersey City Journal Square area because of it's close proximity to New York City. It is a quiet family-oriented neighborhood.
Our apartment is only a 20 minute car ride from Newark Liberty International Airport ($30 taxi). Street parking can be found.

If you are getting home late, we recommend taking a $5 (tip included in this price) taxi from the Journal Square train station to our apartment.

The place is just great. The host has a good taste. We had a great time there.
This was exactly as advertised and Dom was very helpful and informative. Would stay again!
I had a wonderful experience in Dominik's apartment. Although I never met him in person he was a great host and was always prompt in replying to any question I had. He left clear instructions on how to enter the building and the usage of different appliances. The air conditioning can be a little loud but if you put something under it the noise diminishes substantially. Keep in mind that he states that it is an older building. It was able to comfortably fit five people which was great. The apartment is located in a family neighborhood and is about a ten minute walk from Journal Square to take the PATH to New York City. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Overall my family and I had a great time in his apartment and would stay there again.
Dominik was really an excellent host. He was responsive and prompt in his replies. Although we did not manage to meet Dominik on the first day, he made sure that clear instructions were given so that we could enter the apartment with convenience. He recommended us places to go as well as how to get to NYC. The path station is a comfortable 10 minute walk from the apartment and it takes only 10-20 minutes (depending which station you stop at) to reach NYC by path. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Will definitely stay here again if I'm going to NYC!
A little issue with the check-in as the front door intercom was broken. Had to wait for other tenants to come before able to access unit. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience. Excellent apartment, lots of space. Clean and Dominik was quick to respond to questions. Neighbourhood was a little sketchy but came with other people in a group so it was okay to walk from the train station. 20 min to downtown Manhattan via PATH train which is really convenient.
Nice department - clean, cozy, fully equipped kitchen, everything available just as home; great host; location easy to commute between NYC & the place.
Dominik was a great host. Very accomadating with my arrival and very prompt. The listing is very close to the Journal Square PATH and using uber made it even more convenient. Also it is super secure and you feel safe and comfortable. There are lots of little places to grab food and pick up necessities if needed. The place was amazing! Exactly like the pictures and extremely comfortable. Everything you might need to have a comfortable stay is right there for you. Totally recommend as a perfect alternative to an over priced hotel in manhattan for a nice get away and within easy traveling distance to the city or to the airport! Would totally stay again!
