stayed here for 2days and really enjoy time at days inn， chanaka make it like a home.
Kandy is a really cool city. And we really appreciate the time in days inn. Especially manager chanaka helped us a lot and the first day there we were lucky get the big house with swimming pool and amazing view. Best choice in kandy!
We had a very good experience with Anura Days Inn. We were met at the Railway Station by a very happy young man and he set the tone for the rest of the stay. The staff were so helpful and cheerful and helped us with directions, extra blankets, Wifi access and even a trip to a pool.
The double bedroom was clean and quirky, the breakfast of eggs on toast and fruit juice was lovely and the Wifi was very good.
Anura Days Inn is on a steep hill which doesn't overlook anywhere special but it does give an easy walk down to the lake and Buddhist Temple.
Best thing: They had their own Tuk Tuks so our trips were very fairly priced (250rs to the railway station).
I would highly recommend staying at Anura Days Inn.
We stayed one night at Anura's Days Inn: all in all a ver good experience! We had a quiet room, the house is furnished in a funny, original manner, and the terrace is great for breakfast (but now view on the famous Kandy lake). Anura's staff were friendly, helpful and went out of the way to fulfill our wishes (extra pillows, glasses, late breakfast...). We recommend it!
We booked the apartment in January this year. The owner confirmed by email that he would hold the apartment and take it off all search engines. On arrival in August this year we were told the apartment was full, and anyway, it was an apartment for a family - not just two people, in spite of the fact we had booked and paid in full 8 months earlier. Our only alternative was a double room in the hotel some distance away, with no windows , no view and a toilet which didn't work properly. The staff were great, but we have complained to airbnb about promising a booking for the apartment and not delivering.
The family apartment is for a family and being booked already through airbnb and was not available on the requested dates. They had paid only for the double room ( $ 118 for two days) and I told them if there is a cancellation we will keep it for them. The room they got had windows and plenty of ventilation. We can not have rooms without windows according to to the Kandy municipal council regulations. Otherwise, we will not get the approval to run this business. We have been running this family oriented hotel for 10 years and this is the first time that we got a complain like this for not having windows or adequate ventilation in the room. Anyway thanks for the write up and we will try to correct anything that is needed to be addressed.
Days inn is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are so friendly and always there when you need them. The inn itself is clean and cosy. We also found the other guests there to be very cool. If you're looking for a great budget hotel in kandy then look no further.
The place is good and little bit away from the town. The room is clean and the staffs are highly helpful. It is hotel/lodge kind of accommodation and the staff cooked the food (like home).
