For our Key Largo Florida places, being energy conscious and being gentle on our environment and manatees, is especially important. For example, only a few sheets of single ply toilet paper in the toilets, and other common sense care.

Please no smoking, really.

We want you to have a good vacation and enjoy the place. If you have any questions, please give us a call.

The owners sent me their rules etc way ahead of time, they told me what to expect, they were ready when I arrived, they showed me the boat with plenty of towels etc, the boat was clean enough and right beside a landlubber's bathroom with a walk-in shower beside one of my favorite bars The Pilot House. What more could I ask for?

We really appreciated the last minute accommodations that were available for us with the Shilos sailboat. We loved the marina environment and the neighborhood, which was great for walking and biking. Once we got acclimated to the tight living quarters (which were as advertised), we settled in and had a wonderful week! It is a little awkward having to use the marina bathroom facilities but overall, not a bad experience. The use of the kayak and bicycles was a huge bonus. We had a wonderful week of relaxation and fun in the Florida Keys thanks to the Shilos!

Chanoch and Giana helped us out when our reservation for another Airbnb was cancelled only two weeks before our trip date! Thank goodness, because this little getaway on their beautiful center cockpit sailboat was truly relaxing. The marina it is docked at is welcoming and quiet. Even with music on most nights because the music there is quiet and chill...and stops at around 10:00. The restaurant serves great food. The cooking accomodations on the boat are perfectly adequate especially if you have been on a boat and know what to expect. The boat was clean. There were plently of portholes for ventilation. With the gentle breezes, the, relaxing melodies, and the wondrous odors of grilled food, I felt like I was in the tropics...wait, I WAS in the tropics! It was also great that you could walk or bike anywhere using Giana's bikes that are located at another of her properties closeby. Which is where she has her kayaks too. We used these to have real one-on-one experiences with the manatees. Our family will never forget this vacation!

Everything was great on this beautiful sailboat. Our time in FL was rainy so we spent time in the boat playing cards as well as at the marina restaurant which was just a few steps from the boat!!! Such great hosts and great to work with!!! Thank you!!!

The sailboat was located in a very nice area, and the Marina and it's facilities were great. Great location off of Rt 1 and the adjacent Pilot House Restaurant had live music we enjoyed listening to on the deck of the boat at night. The sailboat itself was not as we expected at the price we paid. We are very familiar with boats and have stayed aboard boats many times. However, the sailboat's advertised teak wood was not kept up and was rotting in places. There was a lot of junk (broken sign, dirty sponge) that was strewn about topside and below decks. The bathroom below decks was not clean, and there were 2 large dead cockroaches trapped below the wooden grating surrounding the toilet. We tried to clean them up but were not able to do so and had to look at them every time we used the head. The advertised kitchen/galley was basically a sink and a refrigerator. The gas for the stove was not turned on and we could not use the stove top. We messaged our hosts 2 times asking how to turn on the stove and did not receive any information. This was disappointing as we use Airbnb in order to be able to cook simple meals (like eggs for breakfast and light suppers) and we were forced to eat out for hot meals. Several of the light fixtures in the boat were not working, and we had to purchase a lantern and 2 flashlights at the local Publix to be able to navigate the boat and Marina after dark. The check in process was also confusing and we had to message and call our hosts upon arrival to understand where the boat was located and how the Marina facilities worked.

The boat was docked at the pilot house restaurant, which had great food and live music. I had a very relaxing stay at key largo.

We had a nice time but would recommend going during cooler months (not summertime). The one air conditioning unit is in the bedroom (so the rest of the boat is way too hot to enjoy) and it isn't really strong enough to cool even the bedroom. The boat is older so fans, lights, faucets, toilet pump etc. don't work well. The dock has a loose board so it's easy to get catapulted into the boat (or water...). Even once that is fixed, access onto the boat is tricky (no one with knee or hip or back issues should try this...). The cleaning fee adds about 30% to the price although the Owners do tell you this in advance. The marina and Pilot House are great and the bathroom facilities (although a bit of a walk away) are fine.

HI! When I am not running my business, I am a projects guy- I love fixing up my vacation home rentals in Key Largo Florida.

The renovation team consists of us- fun-loving couple that are passionate about life, music, art, gardens and our wonderful black lab that travels everywhere with Giana.

We have hosted guests from all over the world: in our Brooklyn, NY home since 1992 and now in Key Largo Florida.

We love kayaking & fishing all through the waters of Key Largo and Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn, biking along the bike paths of Key Largo, or Prospect Park, Brooklyn, snorkeling at John Pennecamp State Park.

We love traveling, and with that comes learning languages - we speak a little German and Italian and speak Hebrew fluently.

We are involved in many projects where we can spread compassion and generate good. They tend to mesh and outgrow from our interests and projects.

We are involved in the Arts- both creating and supporting. I play accordian and Giana, the piano. Our movie tastes range from Casablanca to Under the Tuscan Sun- then again, they are both love stories:) We both love to cook, especially with friend and family.

What's it like having us as hosts? First, we do this because we enjoy it- meeting new people, making people happy and sharing the great things our places have to share.

We are flexible to what you need in your stay with us- help with shows, a desk for your room, hanging out with us or wanting your privacy.
Our places have plenty of space, communal and private, porches, gardens, indoor kitchens and outdoor BBQs.
Common occurrences: will meet you at the door, hot coffee, ice water or beer/wine to share; take you on boat or kayak tours of our beautiful bay;

We both enjoy meeting new people and helping with making our places a good retreat. Giana had worked in the health care field and now her 'patients' are renovating our places and decorating! We are always doing something- gardening, new colors, adding a new kitchen tool. So if there is something you need, or would like, just ask-- it may be in our basement waiting to be used:)

We are conscientious about keeping our places clean, bug free; We expect our guests to be respectful of our home.

We think time away from the normal routines of life is important and vacations should be easy to enjoy. Easy to rejuvenate! Let us know if they need something, having a good time and visiting again:)
