Excellent. Andy and Karen were excellent hosts. The apartment was perfect- great location and really well set up. I would highly recommend these guys. They were very responsive and it was really easy for us to make the arrangements. This apartment is in the heart of Rittenhouse area, lots of restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. It is walking distance from the museums. Overall, we could not have been happier.
Andy and Karen were gracious and welcoming, and their home was beautiful, comfortable, and as-advertised. We loved the neighborhood and had a super easy time finding great places to eat and shop while we were in town for a wedding. Overall it was a lovely stay!
Andy was very welcoming, the town house was great! Great location - we could walk to everything that we did. The house was furnished with everything that we needed. Thanks for being such great hosts.
Mostly positive but the location is hard to find on arrival in Philadelphia but really appreciated Karen's efforts to come and find us a few blocks away to guide us to the house. The interior is spacious and comfortable, very well equipped kitchen and all the guides/maps and information you need to enjoy Philadelphia is provided. Karen & Andy welcomed us and offered to support us where needed over our 3 day stay.
Andy was very helpful and responsive to our needs. We arrived over an hour early and he was still cleaning the apt., he graciously greeted us and made us a cup of espresso to boot!
The flat/apt. is in a great location and mostly met our needs. It seems a bit pricey for a very old building in need of updating. The stairs up to the apt. are not very safe, especially if you are lugging heavy luggage. Otherwise, the kitchen is great and well stocked. The beds are moderately comfortable and the furniture is less than comfortable. Time for an upgrade!!!
Andy is trying hard and we wish him success.
The hosts were nice, however we were quite disappointed about the apartment for the following reasons:
1) The apartment is located in a sketchy alley with restaurant trash and foul smells... not a good impression on guests
2) The pictures are much nicer than reality. We expected an upscale apartment, however it was old and smelled a bit moldy
3) Where we expected the apartment to be the central meeting place for the visit, we ended up avoiding the apartment altogether.
i never got to meet Andy face to face, but he was extremely helpful and hospitable! the space was very comfortable and homey. location could not be in a better place.
Great little apartment in a very central location. Clean, super well stocked and comfortable bedrooms. Perfect for 2-3 people. Only thing I would say is that the apartment would not be practical for anyone with a trouble with stairs or toddlers. Andy was communicative and easy to work with. Also, if you are driving expect to pay quite a bit for parking nearby ($21-30/day or overnight) #cityliving
Stayed at Andy's apartment for the 2nd time this past weekend - and as expected our visit to Philly was made all the more pleasant because of the lovely apartment we were able to call 'home' for the weekend. Andy & his wife are super easy to communicate with, very accommodating, and their apartment is wonderful, which goes without saying. ;)
The location cannot be beat! We had a great time.. I highly recommend staying at Andy's apartment if you're looking for a 4 person accommodation in the heart of center city!
