In a sensational 9th Avenue location at the crossroads of Chelsea and the Meatpacking District, this apartment is ideal for a weekend getaway in New York or a full season in the city that never sleeps. The space is beautifully appointed with a large open plan living room/kitchen. In the living room is a queen-size sofa bed, a dining table with six chairs and new designer furniture including 42” Flat Screen, Cable TV, DVD player and Harmon Kardon soundsystem that links wirelessly through the airtunes network. The kitchen area contains stainless steel appliances, Nespresso coffee machine and black granite worktops. The large bedroom comprises a king-size leather bed and, brilliantly, gives our guests a view of the Empire State Building without leaving it. A large mirrored wardrobe and chest of drawers complete the room ,which, thanks to its aspect, is bathed in natural light – a rare thing in the Big Apple.
As wonderful as the space is, New York can’t keep anyone locked inside and the location of this apartment couldn’t be more ideally situated to experience the best of cool New York. The apartment is three short blocks up 9th avenue from the heart of the Meatpacking District’s fashionable boutiques, nightclubs and restaurants.
The apartment is one block away from the Highline walkway, which will take you direct to the entrance of Le Bain and the exclusive Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel.
Walking through the Meatpacking takes you into the heart of NY’s trendy West Village, on into Greenwich village, Bleaker Street and to Soho. For first timers and old timers in the city, the apartment is perfectly located for the 1,2,3 & A,C,E trains which will whisk you to the uptown attractions of Times Square, the Empire State, the wealth of museums and galleries and of course to Central Park in all its glory whatever the season. Head downtown if you are visiting Liberty Island or the Freedom Tower. If occupying Wall Street isn’t your thing, the downtown trains will take you to the East Village and the Lower East Side, two of our favorite areas in the city. To explore further afield, the L train gives you direct access to the best of Brooklyn transporting you into the beating heart of hip Williamsburg at Bedford Avenue in 10 minutes.
Even for die-hard New Yorkers, the Heartbreaker is a fantastic space in an enviable location that will make your visit to this magnificent city unforgettable.
We had a wonderful stay at Stephan's place! The apartment was perfectly situated within walking distance to the subway, Chelsea Market and the Highline. Everything was exactly as in the photos and what was explained in the overview. It was very easy to communicate with Stephan. I would very highly recommend this place to anyone going to New York. Can't wait to go back again and stay here!
We booked this apartment in the beginning of march and this is a perfect place for 2 people who want to discover the best areas of NYC!
Stephan lets us know that he will not be there but Rachel welcomed us very nicely. During our trip they both responded very quickly to our questions and there is a complete welcome book to help you get around.
In the apartment there were 2 Nespresso's capsules to welcome us which is very thoughtful!
The place is in Chelsea which will provides you a lot of restaurants, bars and the highline and great Chelsea Market are just in 2 blocks!
The apartment is exactly the same as in the pictures.
The only small inconveniences are the noise of the heaters but they heat a lot which is very good and appreciable during hard winter! The second thing to be aware of is that the apartment is located on the third floor without elevators and the stairs are steep which can be a problem for some people.
Besides of these remarks this place is great, we strongly recommend it and we will try to book it again next time!
We've spent an excellent week in Stephan's apartment. It is perfectly located in one of the best areas of the city, there's so much to do around. Easy access to the subway, nice walks around Chelsea/West Village, etc. The apartment is very convenient, it was ideal for 1 week. We were 3, the sofa bed was good ! Communication with Stephan was nice and easy, although we did not meet, we had no problem to get in the apartment. Merci !
Stephan's apartment is just great. We were four girls 12 days in NY and we had the best experience, it was confortably and clean. The neighborhood is amazing!
This is a very pleasant apartment, in a great location, near everything on the west side. It's a clean, well-appointed and surprisingly quiet. My wife and I stayed here for an extended period while in between apartments. Stephan is quite responsive and does a good job managing the place even while staying in another country. The neighborhood has everything you might want or need. It's a great place for people looking for well priced apartment for a short or even long-term stay in NY.
We recently had to find temporary lodging while we were moving between apartments and were very pleased to find Stephan's place on 19th street. It's a great Chelsea location, and a clean efficient apartment. I would certainly recommend it for anyone looking for a short stay in Manhattan.
Stephan's apartment was great and in a perfect location. We had a great time staying there with 4 people as the sofa bed is large too. The only downside was that we had 1 key but we made it work, and he offered to compensate us if we paid to get extra ones cut which was very kind. This is the ideal place to stay and if you're like me, and like to walk around New York then you can get to a lot of places within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.
everything perfect. The very good location, close to everything. The department as it is shown in the pictures, spacious and comfortable.
Excellent communication with the host, the chek in and chek out very good.
Totally recommended for a couple. Close to many places to eat, and close to several subway lines
Stephan's place is in an excellent location and was clean and spacious - a real one bedroom. A couple of small issues at the start of the trip were resolved by him quickly and generously. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend ear plugs - it isn't a noisy place, but traffic during the night can be heard. Generally, definitely a place to recommend.
Stephan was quite a perfect host. He gave us the apt. clean and fully furnished. Communication was near to perfect, some little issues was fastly solved also if he was kilomiles far away.
The apt is in a real strategic location, with a nice victorian style neighborough.
It's nice to see from bedroom windows the Empire State Building lights.
As all NY streets are a quite noise, but it is a mandatory condition for a city that never sleeps.
Thanks very much to Stephan.
