This was my first time using airbnb and it was great. We rented a car so we met Maggie at her house and she was very warm and inviting. Her house is very nice and sits on a marina, enjoyed sitting out back to eat. There were 2 other people staying while we were there and they were very pleasant to talk to. We only seen them in passing here and there. I really enjoyed having the dogs around, reminded me of home. The day we were leaving we had a late flight and she let us stay til we wanted to leave that day. It was a great location, 5 minutes from Hanauma bay which was my favorite by far. Not too far from Lanikai beach which was beautiful but hard to find parking and a little crowded. We enjoyed Waimanalo beach the most bc it offers shade (was sunburnt :( on the first day) and it stretches pretty far which makes it seem like nobody's there and it's beautiful...I highly recommend Maggie's place, it's a bargain price to go out on your own and experience Oahu...
This was my first Airbnb experience, and it's sold me on the concept. Maggie was great, extremely curteous and helpful. The house was very clean, the room exceeded any expectation I personally had. We originally had planned to move around the island just for a change of scenery, but ended up staying here because it was so nice.
We enjoyed our stay at Maggis place. The room was well equipped and comfortable ! Maggie rents more rooms in her house so there are other guests there, which we liked. (i guess its good to know though, because there is always a coming and going). The suburb is really pretty and there are shops nearby. Probably better to have a car, makes things easier. Good spot for a couple of days !
We had a fantastic stay at Maggie's place. Maggie is such a kind person, an excellent host. She has 2 dogs, which are lovely. With her information and little tips where to go, each day was beautifully-spent. Thanks Maggie we tried the delicious food at Giovanni's Shrimps-Truck. ...mmmmh
The room was clean and cosy, we were allowed to use the big kitchen and had breakfast at her beautiful little terrasse next to the ocean.
We left one day earlier, because we decided spontanously to go to Molokai (great little neighbour-island!). Cancellation was no problem and she didn't charge the last night.
Thank you Maggie for our first days on Hawaii and for letting us stay in your house.
Hope to see you again. Alexandra&Raimo
The room was clean, well-prepared, and comfortable. The host, Maggie, had to be away when I was there, but she left complete instructions. The dogs barked initially, but after a few seconds they were friendly and mellow. There is a chilled water dispenser in the refrigerator in the kitchen, which was nice to use. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, but I didn't use them. Overall, a fine experience. Just one correction to the listing: The shopping center with the Safeway, etc. is about 1 mile away, not 1/4 mile.
I would like to start with how much of a blessing Maggie was to my partner and I, we couldn't ask for a better host..
She is soooo wonderful, kind, caring and very informative..
She helped us in every way she could, she would even leave us little notes under our door on ideas she thought we could do.. Great location to explore the island and I would definetly recommend all my friends and family to stay here..
Very clean home looks exactly what is on the picture..
We loved our stay at Maggies house. Great location to visit O'ahu. Maggie was very inviting and answered every question we had. The room had a comfy bed and all the necessary items to prepare some food. Even the possibility to sit outside and her lovely two dogs made this a wonderful place.
