Cozy, private house from 1850, located on a quiet street across from a pond, and with access to the Ashuwillticook rail trail. Relax on the private back porch, or in the large bath tub. Sleep in late in the king sized bed, and then enjoy what the Berkshires has to offer!

The space
The house is a 5 minute drive to Lakeview Orchards, 20-25 minutes from Lenox, Tanglewood, and Kripalu. 30 minutes to Mass MoCA and the peak of Mount Greylock (less to the start of the trails, if you want to hike it yourself!)

This is a unique old house, and you will find nautical books and artifacts, as well as trinkets from around the world. The spiral staircase is one of my favorite features of the house, but it can be a challenge for some, so please take care. If there will be more than two guests, and you require complete privacy from those staying on the couch downstairs, you might want to rethink, as the house is small and the master bedroom is a loft. The bedroom upstairs has low ceilings for tall folks (over 6'2") - but with a comfy king sized bed, there's no need to stand up for too long, anyhow! In addition to the full bathroom downstairs, there is a half bath on the second floor, so one does not have to navigate the small staircase after bed time. The second bed, a pull out couch downstairs, is queen sized and very comfortable. There are no TV’s in the house, so bring a lap top if you wish to watch something, or make use of the full library in the dining area.

Guest access
Guests have access to the first and second floor of the house, the driveway and the yard.

Other things to note
When I'm living here, my cat does too. He is a Russian Blue, which means he's pretty hypo allergenic. Of course the house is cleaned regularly, BUT, if you have severe pet allergies, you might want to look elsewhere.

This is a quiet oasis, with views of the pond and a small yard for relaxing in nature, but it is also a short drive to a shops and restaurants in downtown Pittsfield. Dotties Coffee Lounge on North Street is my favorite spot. It is also only a 5 minute drive, or bike ride to Target for any essentials. Hiking, swimming, biking, skiing and snowboarding, the Berkshires has it all! And don't miss the leaves in the Fall. A beautiful place to visit, year round.

I love the outdoors, rock climbing, swimming, biking and sailing! I love to cook, and read good books, and spend time with my family in Western Massachusetts. I work on sailing ships and spend stints of time in different parts of the North East, and when I'm lucky, different parts of the world. When I am on land I enjoy good food and time with friends, and enjoying life's simple pleasures.
