Shovel Mountain Winery is a working vineyard. We created a vacation retreat with all the comforts of home and the ambiance of your favorite winery destination. The facilities are designed to accommodate large groups and provide a flexible venue for family reunions, yoga or cooking retreats, and company workshops, just to name a few. Your stay includes the use of the ranch house, log cabin, and retro travel trailer, all of which are nestled under large oak trees and provide beautiful views of the Texas Hill Country. The ranch house and travel trailer are located across the parking area from the log cabin and each has a personality of its own.

Ranch Home: The 1,200 square foot three-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch home includes a large kitchen/dining area that opens up to the living room. The master bedroom includes a king bed along with the ensuite bathroom. Bedroom two includes a queen bed and bunk beds (two twins). The third bedroom includes two queen beds and opens to an adjacent sunroom with a foosball table. We provide a Pack N Play and high chair for the little ones. The ranch house includes central heat and air, free WIFI, HDTV with Roku, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor patio area. The house has a large well-equipped kitchen and dining area with a large table and counter bar area that seats up to 10, so you can entertain both indoors and outdoors.
Log Cabin: The 700 square foot log cabin includes an open layout living area, large kitchen and 12 person dining table for group meals, and two full bathrooms, one with access from an outside doorway. The living area includes a queen bed and bunk beds (two twins). The log cabin includes air conditioning, fast and free WIFI, HDTV with Roku, outdoor decks with seating, and a gas BBQ grill.
Travel Trailer: The 34-foot long retro travel trailer provides another two beds (queen and full size) and a bathroom with a toilet and sink. It includes electric power and well water, but at present, no hot water.
During the summer months, we provide a large grape bin/water tank that guests can fill with fresh well water and splash in to cool down. We are fortunate to be able to share our vineyard guest homes with you, but please be mindful that we are also sharing our vineyard with Texas wildlife. Along with the armadillos, jackrabbits, and roadrunners… we also have seen snakes, fire ants, and other stinging insects. We remind you that children must be supervised since we have farm equipment stored throughout the vineyard.
We provide 5-gallon containers of fresh water in both the ranch house and log cabin for drinking and cooking. Please bring ice, as the refrigerators have large freezers but no ice makers!

We are located in Round Mountain, TX which is approximately 45 minutes from Austin and Fredericksburg, 18 miles from Marble Falls and Johnson City, and one hour from Enchanted Rock. Krause Springs for natural spring swimming and Opie's BBQ is just 15 miles away. Lake LBJ and Horseshoe Bay Resort is a 30-minute drive.
