Very acceptable. Guests have shared kitchen privileges and full access to the whole finished basement although furnishings are limited. Bedrooms and beds are comfortable. Busy street but a very nice area with excellent hiking and biking nearby. Home is in northeast Orem.
Eric was great! Super accommodating, made me coffee every morning and even put out water for my dog!
Nine out of ten people would really love this place. But I found it spooky. It might perfect place to rent for Halloween.
It’s eerily dark in the basement -- the windows face window wells -- filled with dried leaves and debris. The curtains in one bedroom don’t close all the way. And — there are spiderwebs here and there. The rooms are clean and the bedding crisp but the furniture is oddly dusty and in need of repair. Closet doors don’t close. The main room is huge and kind of empty (nothing cozy, inviting, or friendly there).
One night I had strange smells in my room — like a smoke smell I could not identify from 10:30 to 3:00. Later at 4:30 I smelled what smelled like bread baking. According to the host of the manor, no one was smoking or baking that night. How to account for those strange smells? Ghosts? A neighbor firing up a barbecue in the middle of the night?
Doors that were closed were suddenly left open in my basement space —a door to a storage room, a door to a laundry room. Lola, the neighbor’s Pug dog, often ran through the upstairs hall — barking. Seemingly nice people (various family members) drifted in and out.
As I said — most people would probably be very comfortable here. I packed up and left after 3 (website hidden): The host of the manor does make a wicked cup of coffee!
It appears Pat was expecting an entirely different experience staying at my place. I must say she's the first guest to hear "ghosts" and strange unexplained smokey smells at night. It was a bit of a surprise when she told me these various supernatural goings on. In fact I thought she was joking. All my guests have appreciated and enjoyed the open large basement room and more specifically the quiet environment of the bedrooms which are well suited for a peaceful nights rest. Additionally I pride myself in keeping the living area clean tidy and welcoming. It is not within my abilities to address the imagined "spooky" things Pat experienced. This was a first for me as a host.
My wife and I were in Utah to attend a wedding. We stayed at this Airbnb rental unit for two nights. The unit consisted of the entire bottom floor of a very nice home. It was clean and comfortable and included access to a kitchen, quiet yard, pool and hot tub. The owner, Eric Morley, was friendly, accommodating and available if needed. The home was conveniently located to major highways as well as scenic roads through nearby mountains. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to individuals or families visiting this part of Utah.
My son and I stayed a night at Eric's brilliantly fun home while we were passing through Orem. Right when we arrived he made us feel at home and welcome. We had the whole downstairs area to our selves which was very cool, and quiet. His backyard and pool deserves praise all of its own; a beautifully landscaped area that invites guests to swim, relax, read or socialize. A great place to stay if you have kids, or if you and a group of friends are trying to get away for a bit.
Eric's place was a dream! Eric is incredibly kind and welcoming and is a really thoughtful host. The place is absolutely amazing. As a guest, you have a plethora of private space and a sleeping arrangement that will guarantee an incredible nights rest. Our five month old baby even slept an extra two hours at Eric's house! He has a beautiful and serene backyard equipped with hot tub and heated pool, both accessible to you! His house is in close proximity to some amazing hiking and to the Sundance ski resort. We didn't want to leave and would definitely return!
