Kayaking and swimming beaches are close by along with playgrounds and weekly farmers markets. Plymouth is located only about 35 minutes south of Boston and scenic Cape Cod is only the same distance to the south.

One Parking space provided.
If anyone has food or severe pet allergies, please let us know. There are dogs on the property and I can try to accomodate.
Guests have access to a continental breakfast of Granola, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea and a snack or two are always available. Also, guests can enjoy the yard, our pool, and patio area if they like.
Interaction with Guests
That's up to the guest. We have had guests come and go with no more than a "Hello" as they scurry off to a wedding or the beach and others have become friends, enjoying the pool, yard and a meal with us. We are on the property and easily reached if there are questions and I'm usually never far from the house if needed.
Plymouth is a great little town perched on a harbor. The downtown / harbor front is vibrant with shops and restaurants, live music and events in the public parks. There are several beaches and playgrounds for children and families and did I mention the great restaurants? Our neighborhood is antique and residential, and as I've noted just a mile from town and the living history museum, Plimoth Plantation.
Most of our guests have come with a car, but town is only a mile away, so if that's something you do, walking is nice too. There is public trans, but it's not frequent and a little planning would be needed.
No Smoking in the house. Well behaved pets are welcome to stay and even play with ours if everyone gets along. We ask that anyone staying with us is respectful of our neighbors, and of our home. The studio can accomodate more than 2 people with notice, but no more than 4. If anyone has any allergies to pets or foods, please notify us, we can try to accommodate.
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
Shelley-Jo's studio was exactly what we needed. It was comfortable, clean and had anything we could want on our short stay. Communicating with Shelley-Jo was very easy and she was a very welcoming host - even leaving some food for us to have for breakfast. I would stay here again!
This studio is exactly what we were expecting! My partner and I stayed while attending a wedding in Plymouth and the location was great, with proximity to Plymouth and beaches. It was great to walk outside and sit on the lawn with Shelley-Jo's dogs. Shelley and her family made us feel tremendously welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the high level of privacy we enjoyed here.
My husband, 4 year old son, 2 year old Beagle-Basset mix and I stayed here for two nights. I thought it would be a little small but somewhere we could crash at night. Instead, it was much bigger than I expected and the studio and backyard were so beautiful and relaxing we ended up spending a lot of down time here and loving it. The space is super clean and stocked with all sorts of treats--from chocolates to fresh fruit. Shelley-Jo and her family were friendly and great to talk to. A wonderful stay and we would love to visit again!
What a fantastic place to stay. Great private little loft with a very cute kitchenette... the fridge stocked with breakfast items and the baking on the table were a lovely touch. The place was clean and well kept, and we felt very welcomed. It is a reasonable walk to downtown where there are so many lovely restaurants, and a nice drive to several beaches. It was a bit overcast while we were there so we didn't frequent the pool as much as we hoped, but it was nice to have it there. Highly recommended.
I had a very comfortable (email hidden)'s spacious, clean studio. Everything I needed was provided, including an extensive, tempting array of breakfast foods....fresh bakery muffins and bagels, granola, fresh raspberries, juice, and coffee. The house was very convenient to the hustle and bustle of town...walkable, though I drove...yet enough off the beaten track to not be bothered by a lot of street noise .
I took a 15 minute drive to Miles Standish State Forest where I took a nice long bike ride....a great place if one is in the area biking but wanting to get off the roads and on to some "official" bike trails.
I did not meet Shelley-Jo, because she and her husband were out of town, but she emailed to offer me a dip in the pool and reassure me that should I need anything I could call or email her for whatever I needed.
I would definitely return if I were in the area again.
Highly recommended. We needed a place to stay for a trip to the Boston-area for a wedding over July 4th weekend, and this was an excellent home-away-from-home for our extended holiday. The studio is bright, airy, and comfy, and it's conveniently located for exploring the region by car and Plymouth by foot. We started every morning with a pot of coffee, Portuguese muffins, fruit and yogurt, and I ended every night with cup of tea on the couch. In between, we scouted out South Shore beaches, poked around Plymouth harbor and Plymouth Beach, and made trips up to Boston and Lincoln. Really, a great location in an interesting area, and Shelley-Jo was very helpful when we were looking for suggestions about worthwhile outings.
Only regret is that we couldn't stay another day or two to spend more time in and around Plymouth and maybe relax in the backyard pool. Next time!
What a perfect location! The suite is exactly as described: comfortable, clean, modern, and charming. And-the bed is comfy!! I would definitely stay at this place again when visiting Plymouth. It's super close to all the attractions but located in a quiet area, away from it all. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and accommodating but also respect your need for privacy!
About the Host, Shelley-Jo
I heard someone once say that a person can have a mission statement just like any organization would. Here's mine. Do no harm, help when you can, be kind whenever possible, it's always possible.
