ya, it was great to (email hidden). home with fiona's family. My 8 yrs old daughter feels easy and comfortable with the ravenda welcoming gate, cozy bedroom and kidsfriendly backyard. It make us refresh everymorning to survive the tough scedule at LA. truly recommend if you looking for home at pasadena. 2 thumb up !!
Fiona was great very hospitable and gracious place was clean and cozy, would defiantly recommend
Fiona was a very welcoming host and I really enjoyed the time we spent talking in the morning and discovering shared interests. The accomodation was well presented on the website and the location in a lovely part on Pasadena. The room, bed, linens and extra touches all of top quality.
My husband and I loved everything about this experience. What initially attracted us to this airbnb was her beautiful home, the close proximity to Caltech but most importantly (for me), her backyard chickens. I love chickens and being able to sit in the backyard while they mill about was pretty awesome.
Fiona was very welcoming and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, her kids are really sweet and we enjoyed a few fresh eggs from her hens (we were lucky they were laying while we were there).
We feel lucky to have made a new friend and will definitely send our visiting friends and family her way!
Loved staying with Fiona. Its not just one thing but rather a whole combination of private bedroom with comfortable bed, kitchen, backyard with chicken and lemon trees, colibris on the flowers just outside the bedroom window, picturesque neighborhood and Fiona's hospitality, charm and attentiveness. Feels like visiting a family there. Would stay with Fiona again when we come back to Pasadena
A charming cottage and family, in a beautifully landscaped and maintained neighborhood just 5 minutes from the Pasadena Hilton and Sheraton. Neighborhood was great for walking. Private room was spacious with comfortable bedding, a spacious window seat and closet for your travel debris, and a separate bath. Lots of books, emphasis on travel and cooking, to enjoy. The room and bath were in a wing separated from the family for a restful and private stay. Use of well equipped kitchen and the friendly Thomas the cat. And what can you say about a home with its own chickens (never fear, no rooster!) and fresh eggs in the heart of Pasadena? Blooming lavender and camellia with a warm floral scent, spring bird twitters and soft warm air while my east coast home remained buried in snow drifts. I plan to return to this slice of Pasadena Paradise.
Where you will be welcomed happily by every member of the household! What a great treat to meet and to host you Patricia, thanks so much for your kind words! I was exhausted just by hearing about your upcoming trips but know you will enjoy your adventures and look forward to your travels bringing you back to Pasadena in the future. Bons voyages!
I had a wonderful stay with Fiona. Her house is conveniently located in Pasadena, with easy access to anything you could want to do in the city or the greater LA area. The space itself is cosy and private. Fiona is a gracious and welcoming host who makes you feel right at home. I couldn't have had a better first airbnb experience and would recommend Fiona to anyone who is staying in the area.
About the Host, Fiona
I will donate $10 for disaster relief in Nepal for every stay in May and invite you to match it if you like. Proud to have earned Superhost designation as of April, 2015! Airbnb is making me fall in love with our house and garden all over again seeing it through others eyes. Hospitable household includes school-age children, a cat, hopefully soon a dog too, and free-ranging chickens (fresh eggs for breakfast when they are laying!) I'm an MBA and financial professional who recently started her own catering company. I love Pasadena, wine, cooking, travel and learning a bit of other languages. Hosting too!
