Located in the sestiere of "Castello", in a characteristic building of the early XVIII century, the RESIDENCE is on the mezzanine and is located in a privileged position: in the heart of Venice with its small stores where the direct contact with the customer is considered of paramount importance. The breathtaking vista from one of the apartments is the characteristic venetian channel with its small typical Venetian boats: the gondolas. The residence is composed of 2 apartments: each of them has a living room with kitchen and double sofa-bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Elegance and essentiality are the main characteristics of the residence that will enable you to spend a wonderful relaxing vacation in Venice. The apartment is equipped with TV; radio, DVD player, Mp3, iPod, iPhone, washing machine and dryer, combined oven, air conditioning, heating system, toaster, espresso coffee machine, electric squeezer, hairdryer and any other accessory you may need.
The apartment is located in the heart of Castello, the Venetian Sestriere that is considered the most colorful. This area, full of taste of the past, with stores and bars where Venetians hang around and the liveliness of campo Bandiera and Moro, will lead you into the real Venetian life. From here you can visit the Bienalle Gardens, the Arsenale, San Giorgio degli Schiavoni and the Chiesa della Pietà , the chiesa di San Zaccaria and San Francesco della Vigna. In 10 minutes you can walk to the Bridge of Whispers, St. Mark's Square with its majestic Basilica and the historical Doge's Palace. In 20 minutes you can reach the Rialto Bridge and its famous fish market, the Grand Canal and the Chiesa dei Frari. After passing the whole day in the calles, around museums and stores, we suggest you to go back to the apartment through Riva degli Schiavoni, in order to admire the Venetian Laguna during sunset. Close by you find the direct ferry connection to: St. Mark's Square, Marco Polo Airport, piazzale Roma, Santa Lucia train station. The closest ferry stop is: Arsenale.
Curiosity: around 1930 and for more or less 50 years, the building host an ancient "osteria" "alla rivetta" where "ombre" (wine glasses) and "cicchetti" (various appetizers) were served. In more recent years there was a small restaurant where mostly venetians went.
- ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE:
Unless otherwise stated in the individual descriptions of the properties, the arrival/departure times are as follows:
Arrival: between 3 PM and 8 PM.
Departure: between 9 AM and 10.30 AM.
Arrival from 8 PM to 11 PM: 20 euros.
Arrival from 11 PM to midnight: 40 euros.
Arrival from Midnight to 3 PM: during this time period, we do not allow guests to check in.
(Luggage deposit can be found at train station at a fee - so please check directly with the relevant locations what the arrangements are).
- TOURIST TAX:
From the 24th of August 2011, all visitors who stay in an accommodation facility within the territory of the Municipality of Venice have to pay the “Tourist tax”.
The overnight tax varies from € 0.75 in low season to € 2.00 in high season. It is due only for the first 5 days.
Kids under 10 years of age do not pay. Youngers from 10 to 16 years of age have a 50% reduction.
The collected funds will help the City improve the quality of the tourist services (services, museums, events...) and finance works aimed at maintaining, using and salvaging the city’s cultural and architectural heritage.

The best thing I can say about our apartments in Venice is the location, very convenient; we were close to a lot of restaurants, shops, etc. And on initial view, the apartments looked neat and clean. However; after our first few hours, there were signs of trouble. On our first night, we encountered a VERY large spider in the kitchen sink… we were 5 girls… none of whom wanted anywhere near it. Fortunately, one of our girls was brave enough and killed it. I have a picture if you’re interested (I later found out there was another one, but the thankfully, my travel companions didn’t tell me, because of how scared I was). When Marco hurriedly showed us the apartments (our fault, we were late), we noticed what he called a mosquito… he simple killed it and moved on. But by the 2nd day, the mosquito population in our apartments grew, and seemed to grow each day. Yuk. They seemed to be everywhere. We also killed another kind of bug (unknown) crawling on the floor. We attempted to call the maintenance provided to us after the 2nd day, to see if we could get any help with the bugs, but he spoke no English and was of no help at all. One of our two apartments had a terrible odor, not sure where it was coming from, but it was not pleasant. There was also a wall of mold, which initially was hidden by the sliding bathroom door, and was only revealed when the door was closed. The wall is next to the shower. Because of the bug and odor issues, we decided not to bring any food into the apartment, which forced us to eat out much more than we had planned. I did send a note of these issues to the Faville Staff, while we were still there, but heard nothing back (still haven't). Venice, outside of the apartments was great! We spent as much time OUT as possible. I would not recommend these apartments for a stay in Venice. The apartment experience put a damper on our overall Venice experience.
Dear Vicky, we are sorry to read you don't like the apartment and that our team was not helpful with you. One of the apartment you booked has canal view and maybe it is possible to find a not very good odour and unfortunately the humidity usually ruins the walls. Moreover, due to this the near canal, it can be possible to find some mosquitos. It will be our care to check if in the apartment there is something to fix or to improve in order to offer to all our guest a nice place where to stay.
Ein Apartment ist sehr schön, aber das andere ist überhaupt nicht zu vergleichen. Kaputte Heizung, schlechter Geruch, voll gestopft mit zusätzlichem Sofa, das überhaupt nicht dahin gehört. Somit kein Platz um am Esstisch zu sitzen.Wir haben sofort diese Probleme gemeldet. Statt auf unsere Probleme einzugehen kamen nur freche Ausreden, um die Zeit zu gewinnen. Ich würde diese Firma nicht empfehlen, das sind keine seriösen Leute. Schade, unser Urlaub war dadurch betrübt!
