The Space

Top floor central and light apartment

This bright and comfortable apartment is carefully designed for an wonderful living experience. From fresh cotton towels to a fully equipped kitchen, everything necessary for an enjoyable stay in Berlin is right here at home in your apartment. The bedroom features a spacious double bed with the fold out couch in the living giving extra sleeping options for your children or friends.

Situated in the heart of the charming, up-and-coming Kreuz-Kölln area of Berlin your apartment is situated next to many relaxing cafes and lively bars. I will be happy to recommend a few of our favourites. I’m also partial to a gourmet meal and having tried and tested each and every worthy establishment in the neighborhood I can confidently point you in the right direction to satisfy your wish to experience a special meal.

Another beauty of your apartments location is the easy access to the whole city. Jump on to the UBahn (U8 line) at Hermann Platz to arrive in Prenzlauerberg, Friedrichshain and Mitte in about 15 min. Charlottenberg is also on a short trip away on the U7, the other line which stops at Hermann Platz.

On Tuesdays and Fridays, just few minutes from your apartment, is the Maybachufer Canal Turkish Market. The market is full of great value fresh food which is perfect for breakfast which you can enjoy whilst watching one of the canal-side live jam sessions. Alternatively why not stop in at one of the various cafes or restaurants located nearby.

Last but not least Berlin’s famous night life deserves a mention. All within walking distance you can experience the trendy and sometimes surprising places on the Weserstraße and Kotbussertor. I’d be happy to let you in on a few local secrets.

So if you have any questions about the apartment drop me a mail and I will give you the best insider tips so you can see the real Berlin.

  • Katherine's apartment is the perfect place in Neukolln. It was clean and well equipped. She also very sweet and easy to communicate with. Would stay here again !

  • Many thanks to Katherine. First of, flexibility with the check-in and check-out time really helps. The apartment is rather spacious, it has a superb location (right next to the Hermann Platz station where you have lines 7 and 8 of the U-bahn). But more than that, it is at the very "border" between Kreuzberg and Neukoln which means it is amid totally hipster and cool streets. So many bars, cafes, restaurants near by.
It was clean, and for the most part, rather well kept. Wi-fi (kind of a must for me) worked well and I loved the light in the apartment.
A friendly remark: would be good to have a proper lock in place.
All in all, a great experience.

  • We had a really good stay in Katherine's apartment, it's lovely and spacious with everything you need. The apartment is close to the U7 and U8 subway lines via Hermannplatz station and there's a convenient taxi rank nearby too.

Great place, great location, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

  • We loved the apartment! Very clean, comfortable and close to many parks and good sights in Berlin! The street is very calm and silent. When we came back to Berlin, i hope to stay in the same place!

  • We had a great stay at Katherine's place. It was a great open space, roomy and with high ceilings. It was really well located, so near to the u bahn and a very cool part of town.
I would definately reccommend this place. We felt very at home and were able to live like locals, cook ourselves dinner and enjoy nearby cafés.

  • Our first Airbnb experience was a great one! Kate's apartment is perfectly located in a vivid neighborhood, right next to the U bahn station (U7 & U8) and as a big plus you also have night bus (M29 goes through Kreuzberg and stops right across the apartment!!) and direct bus connection to the airport. There are many good stores around the apartment, a big shopping center with supermarkets etc (right on the square, with access from the U station too) and a fruit market!
The apartment itself is clean and has all the basic things you might need while you stay in the great city of Berlin! We didn't cook at all, because we love Berlin's food scene (especially street food Thursday!) but we had breakfast and a few drinks in the house and everything was clean and in place. Also, there is hot water and heating when you want it, and it is very quiet! It is on the 4th floor without elevator, so keep that in mind if you have heavy buggages. One thing that needs improvement is the main door lock, but other than that you will definitely enjoy your staying! You don't go to Berlin to stay inside anyway! The city is awesome, and you just have to hit the streets to feel the energy of the people and the place!
So, book with confidence and enjoy your time in Berlin!

  • Kata's flat is clean, spacious, and private. It's location is quite fantastic, literally around the corner from Hermannplatz which means you have easy excess to Kreuzberg, Neukölln, and beyond. I enjoyed my stay here and Katherine was a great and flexible host. Thank you!

  • The apartment is in a really convenient location, right next to Hermannplatz with great transport connections, and it is a very interesting and lively area both day and night. The apartment is very peaceful and quiet, with lots of light. It has a basic set up with all you need for a short stay in Berlin. The place was clean and check in and check out were very easy to organise.
