Tracy was a wonderful and gracious host. She went out of her way to make my stay upon arrival welcoming and comfortable. There were complimentary eggs, butter, milk, and coffee to start off my stay--incredibly kind and thoughtful! The home is on a quiet street (something I was looking specifically for) lined with trees draping with spanish moss--which I thought was lovely and very southern. I stayed for a week and truly felt like it was my own home! There is every amenity you can think of beyond staying at a hotel--washer/dryer, stove & oven, pots/pans, free wi-fi, books, toys/highchair for kids, etc.--it was truly like staying in my own home. Tracy is an excellent communicator, easy to contact, and goes out of her way to make sure things were going well during my stay. I was in Montgomery the same time last year for training, but had stayed in a hotel (a lot of human traffic, starchy, uncomfortable, fitful sleep) and decided to try Airbnb for the first time--and it made a world of difference! At Tracy's home, I was able to unwind after attending workshops and classes all day (7am-6pm)--whether that meant stretching my legs out in front of the tv, whipping up some rice crispy treats after dinner, or conking out for a night of blissful sleep! I always felt revived and energized ready for the next day of intense training. I had an absolutely wonderful stay! Thank you so much, Tracy!
We felt welcome from the beginning with some groceries placed in the fridge for us and our host's timely communication. The neighborhood was nice and I'd definitely recommend this home for people going through SOS at Maxwell. She was very welcoming to our dog as well!
Lovely neighborhood, refrigerator and cupboard full of fresh (organic) food to get us by our first few days. Fantastic wifi and a very convenient commute to Maxwell AFB for SOS. Couldn't have been more pleased with how it all worked out!
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Tracy was a great host, eggs in the fridge and other munchies to keep us alive the next morning, as we arrived in late evening. The location was excellent as a base to explore the Civil Rights history and the Capital. The beds were great too!
Tracy was amazing. We had not much sleep when we arrived at the house. She already had some grocerys in the house for us.
Tracy's historic brick house was amazing. We stayed there for just under 2 months to attend Squadron Officer School. This house let us bring the whole family. She was very military friendly! The house was really close to the base. The house was also in a really nice, upscale, and safe neighborhood. On the first day, she brought by coffee too. The place had everything we needed. There were places to eat nearby. A lot of military stayed near apartments at East Chase, but we got a whole house which was awesome. Their drive was 15 minutes longer each way. Overall, there's no place better to stay while visiting Alabama.
About the Host, Tracy
From the UK originally; been in the US for 5 years or so. Love the South (although the summers can be a little intense!) Love to hike, photography, animals - particularly dogs and horses. A good glass of red, a french stick, some yummy cheese and friends and family would be my perfect evening.
Married with one 3 year old child and 4 year old labrador!
