Lovely neighborhood, refrigerator and cupboard full of fresh (organic) food to get us by our first few days. Fantastic wifi and a very convenient commute to Maxwell AFB for SOS. Couldn't have been more pleased with how it all worked out!
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Tracy was a great host, eggs in the fridge and other munchies to keep us alive the next morning, as we arrived in late evening. The location was excellent as a base to explore the Civil Rights history and the Capital. The beds were great too!
Tracy was amazing. We had not much sleep when we arrived at the house. She already had some grocerys in the house for us.
Tracy's historic brick house was amazing. We stayed there for just under 2 months to attend Squadron Officer School. This house let us bring the whole family. She was very military friendly! The house was really close to the base. The house was also in a really nice, upscale, and safe neighborhood. On the first day, she brought by coffee too. The place had everything we needed. There were places to eat nearby. A lot of military stayed near apartments at East Chase, but we got a whole house which was awesome. Their drive was 15 minutes longer each way. Overall, there's no place better to stay while visiting Alabama.
My family & I rented Tracy's home for a month, with 4 kids there was enough space that I was able to isolate myself. Living in New York to visiting Montgomery was a interesting experience being accustomed to noise & traffic :-). Her home was beautiful & very comfortable, we had everything we needed. The kids had toys to play with, books to read and educational DVD's to keep their brains active, they enjoyed the big front and back yards :-). Tracy was always a phone call away if needed and I appreciated her calling from time to time asking how things are going. We enjoyed our stay in her home, I would recommend it to anyone - if you're looking for comfort, space and privacy then you've picked the right spot. I look forward to spending many Summers in my birth place due to my great experience of being in her home, already looking forward to next Summer :-)
I stayed at Tracy's house with my family and two kids for 5 days in December 2012. We all enjoyed the stay. Tracy was very courteous, having stacked the fridge with eggs, butter , milk and bread. We liked that the house had plenty of space for all of us and even toys for the little ones. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and the house had all we need to feel right at home.
From the UK originally; been in the US for 5 years or so. Love the South (although the summers can be a little intense!) Love to hike, photography, animals - particularly dogs and horses. A good glass of red, a french stick, some yummy cheese and friends and family would be my perfect evening.
Married with one 3 year old child and 4 year old labrador!
