Cozy up in our newly renovated 1940’s creek side cabin. The back yard over looks Chestnut Creek and Pisgah National Forest! Hike from the neighborhood trail into Pisgah, or drive 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the top of Mount Pisgah. Take a hot bath in our outdoor clawfoot tub enjoy the sounds of the rushing creek. Just a 25 minute easy drive to enjoy all the great food, beer and art in Asheville. Rustic esthetic with modern amenities like Wifi and air conditioning!

The space
Escape with your family to our 2 bedroom 1 bath 950 square foot cabin. All original shiplap walls and hardwood floors were kept in this adorable 1940's camp. We have central heat and air conditioning!!! There is a wood burning stove inside that makes it extra cozy in the winter. If the weather is nice, open the windows to listen to the creek rush by. We provide WiFi and smart TV where you can log in to watch your Netflix or Hulu. Relax on the massive Restoration Hardware leather couch. Sink into a new Casper queen size bed in the master bedroom. Nap in the hammock on the back deck. Let the kids play in the creek and catch crawdads or make s’mores over the fire pit. Play board games in the dining room. Our back yard is Pisgah National forest with a creek side hiking trail near by and 4 mile drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s an easy drive to Asheville to enjoy the cities delicious food, people watching and breweries.
The kitchen is outfitted with all new stainless steel appliances, a gas range, a Bosche dishwasher that is so quiet you may not know its running, new Ikea softclose cabinets, black granite countertops and all the cookware you would need while on vacation.
We have a washer and dryer on the premise if needed.

Due to Covid we are recommending you bring your own bed linens and towels but we will have them available for your use if needed

Guest access
Guests can play in the creek in the back yard, build a fire and relax on the back deck. The whole house is yours to use!

Other things to note
You will need to bring your own wood and starter logs for the wood stove. Please watch youtube videos on how to safely start a wood stove if you aren't familiar with them. We will not be available to help you with it if you can’t figure it out. We permit the use of starter logs but absolutely no liquid flammables. We have forced heat in the cabin, so the use of the wood stove is not necessary to keep the space warm...but in below freezing temperatures (esp single digit temps) you may need to be prepared to supplement the heater by using the wood stove.

We have wifi and a smart TV- but no cable.
Cell service can be spotty. We use WIFI calling to talk on our phone in the house.
There is an outdoor clawfoot tub with warm water! Enjoy! We clean between guests, but you may need to wipe down before using as leaves/sticks can drop into it.
Bears can get into our trash so please be sure to keep the trash can lids locked and tethered to the house. My Cohost/cleaning lady may come by during your stay to drop off trash from our other rentals in the outdoor trash bins.

We are 4 miles to the Pisgah Inn and the top of Mount Pisgah on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin sits right on Chestnut Creek and the back yard is literally Pisgah National Forest. Hike along Chestnut Creek Trail into Pisgah National Forest from right behind the cabin on our neighborhood trail. This cabin is in a neighborhood of 40's era hunting camps along the creek. Some have been redone and others are being worked on to bring back to their glory days. We have great neighbors so please respect their privacy by keeping loud talking and music indoors after 10 pm.

I was born and raised in Asheville. I lived in California for 10 years to go to school and work a little and then I got smart and moved back home to Asheville to practice dentistry with my father. My fiancé and I love camping, biking, running, working on our farm, playing at the lake, and going on backpacking adventures. We are foodies and have eaten just about everywhere in Asheville so if you need advice on where to go, we are pretty hip to what's good. We have five Airbnb rentals. Three of them are off grid glamping cabins on our 125 acre tract of land that backs up to Pisgah National Forest just outside of Asheville. We have another creek side cabin in the same area that is a normal home with a sweet back yard claw foot tub. One rental is at Edisto Beach in South Carolina, which is one of the last non-commercialized beaches left on the coast. I have been told that Airbnb is my hobby and I have to admit that they are right! I love dreaming up ideas for cabins and spaces. It’s been so fun for me to do and I’ve loved getting to see people enjoy our places.
