The Space

Our house is a very neat and beautiful wooden house situated in a quiet location on the out-skirts of the village of Ginzling. This is located at 1.000 müNN and is an ideal starting point for the ski resorts of the Zillertal. The cozy and bright rooms (85 sqm, 2 bedrooms for all in all 6 per-sons, 1 kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 1 living room) are ideal for a leisurely get-together. In ten minutes you can drive to Mayrhofen, where you find, among other things, shops, an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, tennis court, mini golf, bowling, a cinema and much more. You can have some spa-hours in our wooden sauna located in our garden. The free ski bus to Mayrhofen starts 100 meters away from the property. In addition, there is a children's ski lift and a toboggan run (Tristenbachalm) nearby.

Ski guiding on request! Parking in front of the house. W-LAN for free. Bed linen and sauna inclusive! Please bring with you towels and an extra big sauna-towel!

  • We had a fabulous time staying in this wonderful (website hidden) is set in the most stunning location (the entrance of a national park) and the house is very comfortable for x4. We really enjoyed the sauna too - what a sweet thing. Peter and Silke were incredibly accommodating and helpful and we were given everything we needed. It's useful to have the bus into town (a 2 min walk away) but remember that you need your skis if you would like a free pass. The local town of Mayrhofen (15 mins away depending on the Mountain tunnel traffic lights) is a great place too. Great skiing, good restaurants, entertainment and atmosphere. We loved it. Silke can give good directions to the house, so you will definitely need them when you first arrive. Best thing to say is the 'tourist office in Ginzling' as this is a 3 minute walk away from the house.

  • Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt! :-)

  • I spent three days in Ginzling with two friends. The house is quite big, confortable and clean. We never met Peter and Silke, but we had no problems for check in and check out. Ginzling is a wonderful place to stay, only 8 Km away from Mayrhofen. The Zillertal Area is a perfect place for ski enthusiasts and we really enjoy our stay.

  • We were hoping for a romantic get away weekend in the mountains. Unfortunately it was not the way we hoped for. This is not a privat house. The appartment is in the first floor and the owners live above it. It is a timber house so we could hear every word they said. With the kids screeming, running above us and getting up at 7am this was not the relaxing weekend we wished for. Also from their floor they can look into the sauna. In the kitchen are no curtains and they need to walk past it go get to the second floor. We talked to them about this, the family was nice, but they didnt really understand it. If this would have been clear from the information given beforehand, we would not have booked this. If the house would be for yourself the price would be justifiable. What was good, was the compfy double bed. I hope they will clarify this in their information for future guests.

  • A great mountain hideaway spot nestled against the base of an Alpine mountain in an out of the way town. The location is perfect if you don't like crowds, but all amenities are only a 15 min drive away. Perfect as a base for getting out in the beautiful scenery. The walks literally begin at the front door!

Owners were very prompt with enquiries and helpful and friendly with details we needed for the stay.

The house itself is the ground floor of a traditional Austrian house, and our family of 4 found it on the small side. The BYO towels is a bit of a pain as an overseas traveller with baggage limits to keep to. Note there's also no freezer (so don't stock up on ice cream!) or washing machine (so pack enough clean undies). Traditional Austrian apparently means no lounge/sitting room too, so this house is best for those who spend most of their time enjoying the great outdoors and need a hot shower and comfy bed at the end of an active day, rather than a lux pad to kick back in and soak in the mountain views.

  • This is a very nice house and in a great location for hiking or rock climbing or exploring the country side.

We really appreciated the tips from Silke about good restaurants and great hikes.

Silke and Peter were also there the weekend that we used the condo. They have a place right upstairs. We enjoyed meeting their two children and chatting with the whole family.

  • The house is great. Very calm, clean and with all you may need for a self-catering stay.
    The surroundings are awesome.
I recommend eating at Tristenbachalm, the Tyrolean pancakes are delicious.
Silke is very helpful and always there when needed.

Kommt her und seht selbst! Viele Grüße, Silke.
