Enjoy the quiet of nature in this cozy 1 bedroom cabin with a full kitchen and bath. We are situated on a dead end road in the Catskill Mtns. 2 miles from the village of Woodstock with its art galleries, music scene, shops and restaurants.

The space
This self-catering cabin with lots of natural light is located on the property of our family home. It has an open space living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. There is a separate bedroom and a bath with a shower. A large deck looks out over the lawn, garden and woods. Here you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee listening to the birds start their day or perhaps eating your dinner prepared with fresh produce purchased from the local farm stand or...... maybe just relaxing with a glass of wine after a day of hiking and wandering through our beautiful area.

The cabin is a perfect place to return to after a day of exploring the area which may include the Saturday/Sunday Flea market ( open weekends from Spring until mid-Autumn), perhaps a concert at the Bearsville theater, checking out the shops in Woodstock , hiking up Overlook Mountain taking a bike ride at the reservoir or walk to a local blue stone quarry. And much, much more…. This comfortable cabin is located on a quiet road, where you can hear the sounds of birds in the summer and crickets in the late summer and fall. You may even see a rabbit or deer grazing on the lawn. We are a 5 minute drive to the village of Woodstock which has many fine and some funky restaurants with delicious food. The hamlet of Bearsville (less than 5 minutes drive) has a small general store/deli where you can pick up sandwiches.

The cabin will accommodate 2 people in one bedroom with a full size bed. There is a futon couch in the living area that can be turned into a full size bed for extra guests at an additional charge of $25.00 per person. Fresh bedding and linens are provided.

The kitchen has everything you could possibly need! It includes a refrigerator, gas stove with oven, coffee maker, toaster and is fully stocked with glassware, utensils, pots, pans, plates, napkins, paper towels, etc. This is a self-catering rental, but coffee, tea and fruit will be provided upon your arrival. There is a small charcoal grill available for your use.

The bathroom with shower is provided with fresh towels, wash cloths and some toiletries.

Please, no smoking in-house, and no pets. There is a onetime cleaning charge of $75.00.

I was drawn back to Woodstock and my family property 7 yrs ago after retiring from a job in Boston. I love Woodstock, and the area, never having left it in my heart. I like having people to share the Woodstock experience with me. I have traveled to the Far East, Europe and most of the United States. I am interested in local history, crafts, movies, music (especially classical), baking. I do volunteer work with several local organizations.
