Who wants to try GLAMPing (Glamorous Camping)? If you find yourself jumping up and down, waving your arms in the air, saying “I do! I do!” then this is the place for you! It is the optimal camping experience: enjoy the great outdoors, get away from it all, sleep under the stars (literally- the yurt features a glass dome roof), while also enjoying cozy accommodations. Leave the tent at home and let us provide all you need for your “Glamorous Camping” experience!

The space
Tucked under a large tree in the back of a private multi-acre property, you are surrounded by fields and trees, a horse pasture, and wide open skies. Because there is NO light pollution, star gazing is amazing. The yurt sits along the trail to an ancient Indian Ruin (Tuzigoot), and is also walking distance to the Verde River and hiking trails.

The accommodations are lovely, if we do say so ourselves. Enjoy a good nights sleep in the queen size bed (a new Tuft & Needle mattress, ie: NOT a flimsy foam pad or soggy air mattress!) Luxury linens and towels are provided, as well as drinking water, coffee and tea. The decor is heart-fully curated in a “bohemian dreamer” style, come see for yourselves. A yoga mat is provided for your stretching and breathing pleasure on the deck! :)

There is a simple, private bathhouse behind the yurt: a sink with running water, a compost toilet, and an outdoor shower. The water is not temperature controlled, therefore it is cold in the morning/night, and warmed gradually from the sun.

Oh, and the yurt has electricity! It is off-grid, run completely by solar panels. This means that there are lights, heat/Air Conditioning (yep!), a fan, and you can easily charge your electronics. The system works best from about 6pm-9am, it can overheat during the day. Or, if the days are cloudy, and the solar panels don't get a chance to charge properly, please know that you may not have electricity. We do provide battery powered lights in case this happens.

A small box of sundries is provided, including games, bug spray, sunscreen, and other items to provide you with a comfortable stay.

What else you need to know:
* There are parking spots for up to 2 vehicles
* There is NO wifi. Cell phones typically get service
* There are many wild animals on the property: raccoons, deer, coyotes, javelinas, skunks, bobcats, birds, bees, insects, owls, lizards, snakes and more. If you are respectful and of them and their space, they will typically be the same to you. You may hear any or all of the above at night. While we do our best to keep the creatures out of the yurt, remember you ARE camping, and bugs and other small critters may find their way in.
* Sorry, but no pets are allowed. There is a friendly dog, Buddy, on property, and he may come say hello in the morning! Please don’t let him into the yurt, and you can tell him to go home if you don’t want him to visit
* There is no refrigerator or cooking facilities
* No open flames (candles or otherwise)
* While there is an outdoor fire place, it is only for use when there is no fire ban in place.
* All trash needs to be removed upon your departure, it is easy to drop it in the trash bins on your way out of the property
* In case of emergency, there is a property manager available onsite
* There are other neighbors that live close by. While your yurt is completely secluded and private, set away from it all, you will drive through their community to get to the yurt. Many of these people are living off grid, in non-typical residences (airstreams and campers).
*There are tent camping sites on the property, so you may have neighbors tent camping about 100 yards away, but your spot is secluded and private.

Hi- I'm actually Andrea, but you can call me Glamp if you want to! I've always dreamed of owning a yurt or a teepee, and now I finally do. I've been staying in it a lot over the summer, refining all the details so that you can enjoy an amazing stay! The yurt is a really magical, cozy place. I love sitting out on the front deck at night, star gazing, and in the morning, I practice yoga on the back deck under the shade of the big tree. I look forward to sharing this special "Glamping" experience with you! I've been an Airbnb host of 8 years, first in Los Angeles, then Jerome, AZ, and now with this yurt. I love creating unique, inspiring, bohemian vibe places for cool people to stay!
